Luchs A2 is underperforming and overtiered
The Luchs A2 is too slow, not accelerating fast enough, the sound is too loud and is simply overtiered on 7.3
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yrDt9S0MovE
It was able to run 100km/h forward and backwards.

Fix it!

Lets not talk about what Japan just received in this Update. xD
Imagine the Luchs, but sitting 2 full BRs higher. xD

Japan has the Sub l ll with the same gun at 5.3 or something, but it's SPAA.
ICV has 116mm APFSDS opposed to 66mm of APDS.

Back before German 20mm get nerfed, we had 20mm with 64mm of pen at 1.0.. now we get 66mm at 7.3.

Japan already have a rough equivalent for the Luchs, the Type 87 RCV (P).
Same armor, mobility and pretty much the same firepower.
But unlikely the Luchs, the Proto Type 87 is slower in reverse and even higher in BR at 7.7.

It also has a stabilizer at the very least, and it still doesn't justify the BR.
They have a tiny bit more pen than a Marder at 7.7 but without the ATGM, and the Marder is still garbage.

Neither should be at those BRs.

Forgot the stabilizer.
Being the sole vehicle at 7.7 also puts it in an akward spot.

Either you will pull up your 7,3´s (M47, Type 99 and Ho-Ri Production) into 7.7 or you put it alongside the 8.3´s (STB-2, Type 74 and Type 87 SPAA) where his usefulness is very limited outside of scouting and picking off light vehicles.

And 66mm of pen is just too low, Russian MBTs are 80mm on the side even, you'd struggle with the front of a Panzer IV with that.

You have to be very picky with your targets with it.
I´ve spaded it mostly through scouting and snacking the rare light vehicle I came across without getting shredded in return (BMP-2´s).

Yeah, but what's the point when I can also just play anything else and not have to be picky?

Still the point stands that it is underpowered by a lot

Can the Luchs be adjusted so that it reaches the 100km/h forward and backwards?

I dont think it would make much of a difference..the gun is no good.
Spielführer Dec 3, 2024 @ 4:51am
The Luchs should be super fast and good acceleration and it can't even climb small hills
BlackWolf9988 Dec 3, 2024 @ 3:12pm
try uptiering it unironically. the 20 mm is trash and legit the best time i had with them is when i was fighting IFVs at 8.3 - 9.3 because you can actually pen stuff from the front.

20 mm is just sad.
Spielführer Dec 3, 2024 @ 6:14pm
But why did they ♥♥♥♥ it up so hard? It can't accelerate, if you start moving from a hill you drive backwards... The 20mm is insufficent at that tier. It is plain wrong
Shyue Chou Dec 3, 2024 @ 6:18pm
I will bring it out and try it one day.
