As Mirage already mentioned, stay near a cap and snipe and support your team from the distance.
When fighting on urban maps or close range in general, drive backwards with your gun pointing out of cover. Since half of your crew sits in the hull front, you can always retreat if the gun crew got killed.
Maybe give it a bit more time before you write it off, it's honestly a very decent TD.
Is the 150mm of pen in the room with us now? I have yet to hit a OHKO with it despite the stated pen. Pretty much the only gun of this size I struggle to do that with. I even just cheeked a KV-1 (L-11) to no effect.
Solid tip but limited horizontal traverse means you are still backing out at a steep angle. I could seeing getting tracked or "squash headed".
