No. It was added so japan had more than a single top tier.

Functionally no, as mentioned it was basically added to give Japan a better lineup option. It does differ very slightly by having additional 10mm plates on the hull (in real life this is where the mineroller attachment would mount), but these do nothing in-game.

Yep, Russia 10.0 absolutely ruins 9.0-9.3.

Su25K, 2S38, T72 TURMS, Obj 292, BMP 2M, and now the T80UD.

I avoid 9.3 like the scourge now, even though I bought the Type 16 FPS I'm not using it again until either it gets a better round than the M735 or the matchmaker takes the telephone pole out of it's bum hole.

I wanted to get the FPS but it's so stupid to have a modern vehicle get handicapped because they get a 1970s shell for some reason and then endlessly ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ uptiered with the only redeeming factor being gen 3 thermals which obviously does nothing to kill things.

Yep, absurd logic that Gaijin thinks a MCV from 2015 would still be using antiquated APFSDS from 1978. The Tech tree variant at 9.7 gets type 93 APFSDS, while facing basically the same exact matchmaker (always sucked to 10.3), so why can't the FPS?

It absolutely sucks when put into urban combat in War Thunder because of the poor map design. Realistically, it would only be good for ambushes with its speed, but being forced to slog it out in the long narrow corridors against heavily armored and better armed enemies just isn't it.

Plus you have to uptier all the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ Type 74s along with it which at least get a better shell but are all very lackluster vehicles at their own BR and especially at 10.3

There is already Type-90B in tech tree. This premium is literally copy-paste but with camo net. Its same as Type-16 premium.
Japan already have 3x Type-16...

It would be better if it was unique vehicle like Type 93 jeep but with AT launcher on top.
