The longer a Match lasts and the longer you stay in it the more RP you will get, its where most RP comes from- not Kills. An Objective is also worth several Kills. 1-2 Caps + Victory + 10+ Minute Match will always guarantee you more RP than a short one where you ODL with several Kills. In fact you can get way more RP from a longer lasting Match where you maybe made 2 Kills and 1 Cap than from a Nuke Round which only lasted 6-7 Minutes.
And back to the spading - why not field more Vehicles in a Match and spade them all at once by that? Like spawning into Tiger doing a bit > die and then respawn into Panther A play a bit > die and respawn into Panther G etc is going to give you more RP for modifications for each than only spawning into Tiger and leave after 1Death and going to the next one
Like recently i had a very great Match which went all the way to the max length of 25 Minutes and we only won due to me and two others sticking all the way to end and all three of us respawned six times-seven times against a numerical superior Enemy Team.
I spawned into Panther F, then Tiger E, then Panther A, Panther G and Tiger H1 and then used a Back-Up to respawn into Tiger E and that last respawn won us the Match because ten seconds before the Timer was up i killed a light Tank and that got the Enemy Points lower than ours and we didn't even controlled our Objective for like ten Minutes.
I ended up making 12 Kills and got more RP from this 6BR Match than the last Top Tier Nuke i had a few Months ago - twice as much in fact.
Some of my best Matches where i made the most RP both for research and spading my Vehicles happened due to me sticking to the Game and respawning multiple times, turning the tide and won.
One-Death leaving is just a weak mentality and sabotages your Team
Besides, there are multiple reasons people quit and i agree that repair costs aren't a reason anymore.
1. Maybe they want to play a specific Tank or maybe it was their premium vehicle and dying in it basically halved all future rewards for that game
2. They don't want to bother moving out of spawn to actually get into a position they can do something in. There are better and worse maps.
Fields of Poland for example allows enemies to move behind your spawn and other maps need you to traverse wide and open areas where you are an easy target.
If you are losing I would also add the presence of enemy CAS. I'm not criticising the existence of CAS in GRB, but that the winning team generally has more better performing players, these players make more points and it means that they can spawn more planes with more weapons than the enemy team, which kills Tanks of the losing team even more, making more quit early.
Premium vehicles are for researching new vehicles, not spading. They're better for researching and SL. And again, you forget it's the mods that matter. Why stay in a game with a 1.2 mod vehicle when you can launch a new game with 3.2? It's more efficient for researching to launch new games rapid fire at current reward rates. This is why RB and SB are inefficient for grinding. The games are slower and even if the rewards are higher, they're not really high enough where AB doesn't beat them out 9 times out of 10. Bad game in RB? Well you spent 10 minutes to get nothing. Bad game in AB? You spent 3 minutes to get nothing, launch again EZ grinding.
Gaijin doesn't incentivize the playerbase to stick around for a losing match, so they just leave and try again.
Also, not every nation has enough tanks etc. to offer a proper line-up, so bringing less and leaving sooner is the consequence.
The only one who can improve this situation is gaijin and punishments won't help much.
And the length of a Match is also a huge modifier. From my experience so far having almost always fielded a proper Line Up and stick to the Match until the end regardless of how lost it might appear at the beginning has always given me more RP/SL than just ODL and hop between Matches and even if my experience would be otherwise i still wouldn't do that because its just sabotaging your Team and i fail to see where the Fun is in playing like that, i even find it shocking that some people play like that entirely tunnel visioning on trying to min-max their Grind to their own and the Teams detriment.
And the length of a Match is an immense modifier, you can get 6k RP with Premium in a 6-7 Minute long Top Tier Nuke Match or up to 12k-15k RP for a 5-6BR Match with the same performance but a nice long Match, spade all the Vehicle you fielded in that Match along with it and you might not be in research effieciency of the Vehicle you research but still end up gaining a TON more of RP at the end because of the Matchs length and Victory Bonus.
Did u even read it?
Sometimes some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ happens and I leave even with normal setup. If you want to suffer, keep suffering. This is not a competitive game, I come to WT to have fun. If I am not having it, I am leaving and going into the next match. And you can keep doing whatever you want, I don't care
I am a sucker for punishment, so I'll keep trying even if I'm the only one left on my team until I run out of SP even now that I've kinda spaded everything I enjoy playing, but I don't mind if people feel differently. Games are for fun. If fighting for a win against the odds isn't fun for you, then just don't.
usually, you find them crying on the forum things like "SL is too low", etc.
In fact, they want a lot of things but without any effort.
Also - sometimes there appear to be more planes in the sky than tanks on the ground...
All in all - it does not surprise me that some people quit. Playing is for fun, not for getting bonuses etc. or providing targets for bombing.
But hey, what do I know, it is probably "skill issue", "not angling properly" or "not knowing weak spots".
