Ki 43 and 44 defy the laws of physics
seriously, no aircraft built in japan could pull those maneuvers, watch replays, the flight model of these are completely jacked up

I agree. they hang in the air like their engine is made with space magic and their airframe weighs 2kg.
but that's warthunder for you. 7/10 planes in the game have busted damage models or flight models in 1 way or another.
Best way to deal with zeros is to energy fight them and drain them completely of their energy by keeping yours. now if you get stuck under them, you're dead. nothing you can do except hope they suck at aiming and make a mistake.
and USSR prop planes are enchanted with fairy dust and amazing maneuvers.

japanese planes are the only planes that can reliably dispatch and outskill magical USSR UFO light speed climbing and turning planes

leave japanese planes be.

Is it bad that my favorite aspect of them is how easy it is to bleed massive amounts of speed so you can land in the smallest spaces? I love driving the A6M2 around on the ground in GRB.

USSR planes at 3.0 - 6.0 are nothing OP as people think they are....I even prefer Spitfires to them, especially the Mk.XVI + Russian Aircraft Reopair Costs are absolutely Abysmal, trust me, they are not that good, some Yaks are but you need skill to play them...certainly not as easy to play as the broken ass OP Bf.109s or A6Ms....

That's a skill issue. The A6Ms are abysmally slow, especially the A6M5s. They're idiot tax planes.

LOL; OP probs tried to turnfight a ki-43 in a fully CAS loaded P-47/P-51 and now has to complain on the forums about how small his brain is.

Japan is the easiest nation to deal with, all their planes are slow as hell. If you get caught by one just by being slower then they are, you deserve to be sent back to the hanger.

Maybe OP should try playing Japan and see how horrible it is to actually play em (there's a reason you don't see that many JP nation players in queues relative to every other nation).

Their speed is the only saving grace for anyone trying to disengage them, seeing as they can cut a turn in an instant if someone tries to turnfight them. Doesn't help that a lot of tips I've seen on fighting them include "Do a turn to bleed their speed and then disengage", because you'll be dead before you can execute Step 1.

LOL I have an entire lineup of A6M's that I use when I need to get first place in a match or get the high kill score in AB for Gaijin reasons. They're not bad in RB either.

I have a positive K/D ratio with almost every japanese prop plane except for the weird Bf-109 knockoffs, I don't know what you mean by this when prop tier japan is the easiest grind I've ever done.

Can add one to that, WW2 Japan is a no-brainer because at any time you are either in a better position than your opponent or that opponent is running away and isn't your problem anymore. Ammo count is a bit annoying though, then again sniping pilots when you're left with plenty of low caliber is easy thanks to the agility.

Please, do not compare the behavior of War Thunder planes in any way to reality.

I usually fly MS Fight Simulator or IL-2.
I came to War Thunder because of my son, to sometimes play with him.

Guess what: The first thing I have laid away was thinking about "realism in War Thunder".

I know now: USSR prop planes can make zero radius 180 degree turns without losing speed and some planes can climb forever.
That is the game. Some may find it funny. I only play it when my son invites me to. Otherwise, I see it more like a digital joke.
And, from the deep of my heart: I think this game is meant to by just a funny arcade thing, never anything realistic or historical accurate.

It is okay as long if you keep this in mind. Nothing to blame here.

While the game is far from a simulator, judging it by Arcade Battles would be wrong as well, seeing as everything there is boosted up in performance to the point one plane doesn't feel any different from another and it is indeed possible to do stuff like climb into space on a whim or dogfight in a light bomber if so desired.

When it comes to Realistic Battles (can't speak for Simulator, but afaik the performance there is the same with less automated aspects), very few aircraft can pull off Arcade-grade stuff and those are usually outliars that really shouldn't be able to do so well based on their stats and the supposed real technical documents used for them, Yaks being perfect turnfights capable of spaceclimbing on a whim being one of the examples.
