Very Specific Question/Suggestion about the 90/53 M41M
I know it's been suggested on the forums that this extremely low-capacity Italian TD get an ammo trailer, but in the meantime I'm wondering whether or not a smaller addition would make sense. Does anyone know if during WWII, Italian tank crews ever went into battle with a round already in the cannon chamber? If so and the 90/53 M41M did too, then the following suggestion is doubly noteworthy.

Again, if history supports it, then it'd be nice to increase the 90/53 M41M's current ammo capacity from eight to nine, with the additional round being in the chamber at the start of the match.

Keep in mind, I'm not advocating this idea for any other tanks, just the 90/53 M41M. Even one extra shell can make all the difference sometimes, and it'd be nice for 90/53 M41M players to be even the least bit less miserly with their shots. And yes, I know that tanks already enter the match with a round in the chamber. The difference is that most tankers decrease their max ammo amount to lessen the chance of an ignition shot, while the 90/53 M41M can barely get through a match without using all its shells and needing to replenish at a point. Also, I just find it strange starting a match and already seeing only seven shells in my ammo storage.

Any thoughts? Criticisms?

Very good points.

Honestly, I'm a bit on the fence over the idea myself. I know one extra round won't make too much of a difference, but it was an interesting enough idea for me to toss it to the community for further input, whether positive or negative.

Exactly.

Well I'd say that settles it for me. I've been playing the 90/53 M41M since opening this thread and I gotta say, the tank really becomes fun once you've researched everything. I'm very tolerant of the eight shell capacity, now.
