even though dropping them off to be enslaved then buying their freedom is tedious with only a 30% chance of any joining you. without the use of mods its pretty much your only option.
Either way, thank you for that piece of information.
It's not false, just not the full story. It also depends on other conditions. If their stats are too high, they won't join no matter what. Or if they think you are their captor.
So it's a roughly 30% chance, assuming all other conditions are met. And those skeletons in Wend tend to be right at the limit statwise. Some will be weak enough to be recruited, while others won't be.
I made the mistake of doing an all skeleton run once. It was not a challenge at all.
If you can enjoy that, good for you. I could not.
The time it takes is much more then I'm willing to give and it isn't even fun when I get to have a lot of skeletons.
Because I spent most of my time fighting when going from one place to another, my 6 skeletons were all at least 50 in skill points and with them I could easily beat most of bandit patrols and such. Because they are skeletons, I can heal to full and start over.
No risk, all rewards. Very boring.
that being said most ppl don't bother w/ skelly playthroughs w/o mods, as how you are doing it is the best way vanilla
Skeletons don't eat and instantly heal with robo kits, they're best in war of attrition,
They can continue getting up repair and fight again.
They have bonus Strength learning and if you want Heavy weapons you need STR
which takes ages to master.
They have higher Hp Pool
Also Can Man Turrets Indefinitely.
However Their heads are exposed
In Essence Skeletons Are Low Maintenance , Tough , but can get smacked in the head.
