Steering wheel
Thinking about buying this game but I really only like using my gaming wheel for racing. Can I use one in this game or is support going to be added?

Since the controls are a bit involved we typically pair the G27 with a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro for rotations. Another clip is in here: https://vine.co/v/errVX0DuU3x

Ahh..I'm using an old Saitek R440 Force feedback and I have a saitek cyborg. Plan on replacing them all but I'm saving for a Vive headset first :/

Totally understand you there. Never tried the Saitek R440. I'll have to look into it someday.

Since I decided to go look, Logitec G27's are all but discontinued here in the UK so that's out of the window :( I'll keep my eyes on your game though. Hope you support the Vive and some further steering wheels (seems like a must for VR). Fingers crossed I'll be playing sooner rather then later and good luck with the game. Really have heard nothing but good about it but I'm always a little skeptical of early access personally.

That's because they're making the G29 instead now

Yeah....£300. Rather out of my price range.

The game works very well with a Driving Force GT. can be bought relatively cheap (~60-.90 €) on ebay. I mapped the flight controls to the 4 way joystick on the wheel and I don't even need to switch controllers when switching mode.

Wow...
My Driving Force GT wheel is a PS3 exclusive controller.

I have never been able to get it to Force-Feedback on any PC driving game (just basic steering etc)... are you saying this works fully with `Distance` (inc Force-feedback)?

If so... Devs take my money..

did you install the logitech drivers and gaming profiler? If your Force GT is recognized by it you should get FF too.

Maaaan, I didn`t know it existed for PC, I thought it worked via Microsoft drivers, like an XBox controller.... which it resembles in part...

Downloading & installing now.... 4 years late.... thanks to it saying `For PS3` only, on the box.

I dreamed of this software, but thought it was like expecting SONY to produce software for the PS3 controllesr to work with Windows..... instead of that Xinput whatever that is annoying & frustrating.

Whenever something says "This console only" it means no other console. A PC can use and map pretty much any device that connects via USB. Whether or not games support the more advanced features is up to the devs/drivers, but it will at least perform the basic duties of a controller (buttons/linear axis/circular axis)
