Hi! The plan is to look into integrating the fixes & improvements from the console versions into the PC version at some point following the console release. We don't know what the timeline for that might be, but it is in the plan. To be clear, the only stuff that would be coming across would be some bugfixes, minor usability tweaks/improvements, and most likely some minor performance enhancements due to the engine upgrade and content optimization, but this isn't in any way a visual "remaster" or "HD update" or anything like that. The plans is for the game to run & look the same on console as PC.. the PC is the target, basically, as opposed to being a base to be expanded/improved upon. So, just to manage expectations, heh!

Oh, and we are implementing Achievements/Trophies for console, so we'd be integrating those on PC as Steam Achievements! But yeah, that's about it. Thanks for asking!

Thank you so much. Optimzation is what I am looking for. Another reason for me to replay this game. Thank you. Fullbright!

Hmm, not sure if it'd work but I know one (and have seen quite a few more) person who was unable to run the game because of unfixable clashes between their set up and the way unity works...so...any chance that maybe the upgrade will make it playable on a few more systems?

Yes, it's our hope that the engine upgrade might address some compatibility issues as well!

Will the engine upgrade fix the issue I'm having with the mouse? If I want to activate objects, I can't look directly at them, I have to look to the side. It makes playing the game rather tiresome.

I'm excited to have speedruns recorded as achievements for Gone Home. Looking forward to the 100% speedrun myself.

We're still hoping to get around to this before terribly long-- though for most people you'll hardly notice the difference (aside from Steam achievements): the goal of the console versions was to keep the game as accurate to the original PC release as possible, so there's nothing in there along the lines of like, upgraded visuals/improved lighting, etc. At this point we're putting everything we've got into our new game, Tacoma-- but we are still planning on getting to this. Thanks for your patience!
