Spanish Translation for Gone Home! (Traducción al Español)

Hello everyone! I wanted to share with the community the spanish translation I made for the game, so it can be enjoyed by even more people. Feel free to tell me if you find some problems with it and I'll try to fix them but as it is right now is perfectly playable. Below I leave you with the download link and some notes and known problems. Enjoy!

Download the Spanish translation [gamingtavern.wordpress.com] by me. People from Latin America (particulary Argentina) you will probably prefer this one.

Download the Spanish translation [www.clandlan.net] by darkpadawan People from Spain you will probably prefer this one. Updated link with fixes from the 1.01 version of the game.

Notes:

• Some things have been left untouched. For example: Names of Magazines, Brands, Songs, Products, TV Shows, etc.
  
• For some unknown reason some parts of the map still show in English. I still have to figure out why. So don't panic when you look at the map. FIXED!
  
• I couldn't test everything so, there may be a translation of a note that is longer than the original and isn't displayed correctly on the screen or mistakes like that.

How to install it:

Copy and paste the contents of the .rar in the following directory

Windows Vista/7: /Users/<username>/AppData/LocalLow/The Fullbright Company/Gone Home/Text/Localized/

Windows XP: /Documents and Settings/<username>/Local Settings/Application Data/The Fullbright Company/Gone Home/Text/Localized/

Mac OSX: ~/Library/Caches/The Fullbright Company/Gone Home/Text/Localized/

Linux: ~/.config/unity3d/The Fullbright Company/Gone Home/Text/Localized/

Everything it's already subdivided in its corresponding folder (except the Spanish.txt that goes directly into that directory) so just merge the folders to add the spanish files!

Then you should be able to select Spanish from the options menu.

Hola a todos! Quería compartir con la comunidad esta traducción al español que hice para el juego, así mas gente puede disfrutarlo. Avisenme si encuentran algún problema y veo si puedo arreglarlo, pero como está es perfectamente jugable. Abajo les dejo el enlace para descargar la traducción y algunas notas. Espero que lo disfruten!

Notas:

• Algunas cosas no las toqué. Por ejemplo: Nombres de Revistas, Marcas, Canciones, Productos, Shows de TV, etc.
  
• Por alguna razón algunas partes del mapa todavía están en Inglés. Todavía tengo que descubrir porque pasa esto. Así que no entren en pánico cuando vean el mapa. SOLUCIONADO
  
• No pude probar todo, puede que haya una traducción de una nota que sea más larga que la original y que no se muestre correctamente con una porción del texto fuera de la pantalla y otros errores por el estilo.

Instalación:

Todo esta subdividido en su carpeta correspondiente (excepto el Spanish.txt que va directo en ese directorio) así que tan solo unan las carpetas para agregar los archivos en español!

Después de esto deberían poder elegir español como lenguaje desde las opciones.

The first patch will include fixes for all of the localization problems (like map room names) that we're aware of.

Did you have trouble with diacritic marks? I mean, where they displayed correctly in-game?

At first I forgot to change the encoding of the files and they didn't show but they displayed correctly once I saved the files with UTF-8 Encoding

Casualmente he estado estos días realizando una traducción para el juego, y al venir a Steam me he encontrado con la tuya. Ya pensaba que era trabajo para nada, pero estoy viendo que hay bastantes diferencias, ya que yo la he hecho en español de España. Para no duplicar posts, ¿te importaría si pusiera aquí también el enlace?

Y, si quieres, puedo postear tu traducción en mi hilo de Clan DLAN, que seguramente por el estilo haya compañeros no españoles que la encuentren más adecuada.

Por supuesto Dark, cuando tengas el enlace con la descarga postealo y edito el primer post para incluir la tuya, suponía que mi traducción, siendo de argentina, iba a ser diferente a la de un español.

Si posteás mi traducción también en tu hilo te lo agradezco, así va a ser más fácil de encontrar para cualquiera que esté buscando

Ambas traducciones son compatibles. He añadido un (ES) a todos lo archivos, de esta forma al seleccionar el idioma en el menú aparecerá Spanish(ES) y Spanish (para la tuya), si se incluyen ambas, y no se sobreescribirá una con otra.
