Go to your inventory in game, click a crate/USB and select the option recycle.
Crate will be destroyed and you will receive a common crafting material (for weapon skins if you destroy a USB, for cosmetics if you destroy a crate). Combine 10 crafting materials of the same quality to craft a skin/cosmetic of the next tier quality.
Because you are at the mercy of a marketplace with prices inflated in some cases due to artificial rarity (generally, the 'rarer' or more desirable skins) or, you could pay £10 for a single item from the store, which is overtly greedy and only seems to be supported by the likes of person out to make money for their own steam wallet and less interested in supporting KF2 post 2017. Then there is the other 'option' of gambling by purchasing a key for £2.50 a pop, which again, like the OP states, why would a sane person fall for this racket? I know this stance is considered heresy by the pro-mt rabble, let's see how long this takes for them to have this thread locked too, seems dissent within the ranks is verbooten on these forums
My prediction: you will get triggered, will write a longass post and put "lol" emoticon, like you always do
Damn, I'm out of pop-corn, anyone got a spare?
Nah
And two of my predictions Were right
I should be a fortune teller >:D
And sou only complain at this point, you could atleast do something about it, posting all of this forums won't get you anywhere
And again, No money = No swag, no need to unbox
And you still get daily drops, and crates can be recycled, now deal with what you have
*Yawns* Award yourself a CDM for trying hard. I'd say you're blatantly derailing another thread and flaming, again. I still think the OP is on the right track though, I do actually believe the "Trading Floor" is a flop and not doing nearly as well as expected, Just like the game itself sadly. A lot of revenue is being missed out on, due to the tens of thousands+ of EA purchasers who have left this game in disgust at the sheer greed of this Crate and Key gambling system, a game that sold well in EA, where are all those people now?
-Let's try not to antagonize eachother. OP's question is legitimate, I'm sure it can be discussed without personally insulting eachother.
And do you have a source that Zedconomy is dead?
I think it's going good, because new cosmetics, standard emotes and skins are cheaper now, comparing when Zedconomy was released where everything is is still more than 4$ each
Which means there is alot of people who unbox now, seeing how many of those items get unboxed
Recycling crates even raised the price of all crates, I also remember BlackSpawn said that crate price won't go higher than 0.03$
Also, adding that "lol" emoticon is a douchy move
If a player has, say, 12 crates it costs amlost the value of the game to open them.It simply makes zero sense, unless you realize that TWI sees the game as a service, not a product. Therefore they can charge you continuously for it, even surpassing the initial cost of buying it.
With the rate of crates dropping in-game I think it would be better if 1 key purchased would open 2-3, let's say, crates. That way, the money spent would make a bit more sense.Either that, or, TWI should revert back to the old bundling system of KF1, where they sold bundles of the games' content. It is more democratic IMHO, since you see what you get (and thus opt put if you dont want to buy it), everyone gets the same stuff, and it is better value for money.
However, TWI has become complacent in the laurels of KF1, and therefore this will never materialze.
I agree with the above statements that the whole ZED-conomy is dying, if not dead.TWI adopted and stupidly focused in the CSGO crate system for all the wrong reasons, thinking they could profit from it.This is not CSGO, and people dont (or cant) play competitively.Who cares if you have a 20 $ and -admittedly- weird skin in your gun, or cosmetic when all the other players want to evade a pi**ed off charging scrake/fleshpound.
This game is played mostly on PVE, so no player will see your killcam (and your weapon skins in it). There are no esport competitions held with KF2, and noone would care less if you attended them anyways. So, bragging rights here and the skins/cosmetics/emotes that go with them simply dont apply.
But at least the gun skins is something tangible that you can still see, whereas with all other external cosmetics, you cant, and simply hope that other players do notice (which they dont most of the time).
Yeah, whatever, really classy
Back the OP please.
