*sigh* Here we go again: How about you give us at least some information? Like your hardware, operating system and so on. "Help me, xy happens!" is about as usefull for us to work out a solution as is posting nothing...

i am having same issue with CoH1 and CoH2. i was trying all the fixes here : http://steamcommunity.com/app/228200/discussions/0/846960481944261373/#p2 yesterday and none worked. I simply try to open the game, it opens another black window and on the top line says CoH1 or 2 not responding. i then have to either alt tab out and end task, or wait a few minutes and itll do it for me. i will get more info about this is you tell me how, thanks. please bump this or try to help bc i baught 2 games now and for nothing so far.
here is my DXdiag:

same. And the answer is.........??

i got mine working, both of them. for CoH1, dont download the new steam version, just download all 3 separately. mine is working fine now.
FreeTaiwan Jan 20, 2014 @ 10:11am
i have a same probrem. i wonder how you've managed to get your CoH2 working.
do you mean you downloaded 3 of CoH1 except new steam version then got not only CoH1 but also CoH2 working?? or did you do something else on CoH2??

in my case, yesterday i downloaded vannila version of CoH2 and that time i was able to play the game.
However, today i bought digital collecter's edition, and the game won't start after that.
i didn't install any of CoH1.
i guess some of DLCs which are included with the digtal collector's edition is to blame.
Also do not know what to do! I have the same problem!
FreeTaiwan Jan 22, 2014 @ 7:30am
i uninstalled coh2, and all of coh1.
after that, i reinstalled coh1(not steamversion), coh1OF, coh1 ToV and coh2.
then i managed to play the game! that's what i did and got yesterday.

however, the game is out of working again today.
the same problem, the same error code 1129468744. the situation is exactly same as that of the day before yesterday. that means what i've tried is nothing but meaningless.
i'm so tired of trying to solve this problem.
fortunatelly i can launch coh1 so i'll play coh1 instead of this wonderful coh2, and wait for patches which fix this problem.
Juvenoia Jan 22, 2014 @ 7:52pm
i'm glad your able to play now as well. if you didnt have the cd version of CoH, it seems you shouldnt try to use the new steam version to play, just d/l all the separate ones and it will work; at least it did for me and a few others so far. Aloha!
FreeTaiwan Jan 23, 2014 @ 6:37am
thankyou for replying.
but in my case, although i don't have a cd version of CoH, i can play the new steam version CoH1 without any problems.

By the way, i'm glad to tell you that i've finally solved the problem and gotten CoH2 working.
The cause of this problem was actually Xfire , which is a software to find available online game servers with.
if you've installed this software, try turning it off before you launch CoH2.
Then your CoH2 will work properly. at least i managed to launch CoH2 in this way.

i also tried launching CoH2 with Xfire active, but failed.
so i guess it was Xfire that was the cause of the problem in my case.

Considering my problem and solution, the error whose code is 1129468744 seems to be caused form a software made by a third party.
Even if you have the exactly same problem (launch faliure -> bug report dialog -> update of CoH2) but have never installed Xfire, i recommend you to search your computer for softwares having relation to the online game and to try swiching them off or uninstalling them before you launch CoH2.

I uninstalled, removed all traces of the game from my hard drive completely (from appdata folder within user account etc) reinstalled and it works fine now...
Great suggestion, Ben! In my case it worked, Thank you!
