problems with mac after buying DLC
Unfortunately I’ve made a dumb mistake. After buying the game and playing it, I wanted to play the british and american factions. So without watching i bought the expansions. After i bought them i noticed these were only available for windows. Eversince i'm not able to play COH2 anymore (not even the standard, with the russians and the germans). After opening the game it says i need to update the game.. but there aren't any upgrades. After contacting feral, who redirected me to the steam support, I've been waiting on steam to help me. But after a week i feel hoopeless about that and i'm hoping somebody can help me with this problem!

I contacted Feral for a different issue but I got this response:
"The way certain packages are structured for Steam, if you purchased a
package including certain (not yet available) DLC packs, you would be
prohibited from downloading the base game.

My understanding is that this issue has now been resolved with
Valve/Steam. Please try activating/installing the Company of Heroes
2 main game again, and let us know if you require further assistance."

They also made a recent change so the DLC you own will show up when you view the game in your library. Try unchecking them all except for: "Company of Heroes 2 - Standard Game".

I don't think we ever redirect people to Steam support unless it is concerning refunds (as we cannot process Steam refunds). In your case it was likely you were using the Steam BETA client which caused a problem with Company Of Heroes 2 activation.

You should be able to play now without any issues.
