CoH2 Won't launch anymore

It seems numerous people have this issue. I run it on Windows 10 and have tried the following solutions to no avail:
- tried verifying game cache integrity,
-Disabling Real time protection and relaunching Steam entirely and reattempting to launch the game,
-Uninstalling and reinstalling the game outright,
-restarting my PC,
-and even combining all of these potential solutions in different ways, all to no avail.
-Updating drivers using Driver Booster 6
-Running the game offline
Steam refuses to give me access to support on the issue because it's not their problem apparently. I have 500+ hours on the game (Steam wiped some of that playtime because i used to play it offline when i had no wifi) and used to love playing it to burn time. Stopped playing about a year or so ago and I'm unsure what changed since I started trying to play it again about a month ago and it hasn't wanted to launch since then.

EDIT: When attempting to run the program as an administrator, it claims that:
VCOMP140.DLL
and VCRUNTIME140_1.dll Was not found, and thaat reinstalling may solve it. d

If you have the same or similar issue please reply to this thread to get it more attention.

None of that worked whatsoever. Literally updated the game and now nothing works. I would be most appreciative of some help that resolves the issue. What a farce this is.

i had same issue, and not just this game, in the end i reinstalled windows, it was a pain but all working again

Also having this issue, refuses to launch but I was able to play it just last month or the one before.

Had the same issue. new laptop with 360hz screen which apparently doesn't work with game at those refresh rates. went into nvidia panel and set max frame rates to 60, relaunched game and it worked!

it's the game "LIBRARY" menu in steam, Find "Company Of Heroes 2" in the game's name on the left interface, and click the left mouse button, click "Properties...", in General's "LAUNCH OPTIONS" typs "-refresh 120 -window" or "-refresh 120" same works for me

now you can close it, and restart the game.
