good support commanders
Im a new player to this game and i want to do well, and not be a deadweight to the team. so what are good support tactics for both factions, and the best commanders to help support the team. and if fast attack is the way to go, what are tips to gain an edge in the game and best commanders to do it.
thank you.

Capture points, use Mg(Maxim or 42), mortars, AT-guns, snipers and halftracks, and after few battles you'll learn how to play a game ;)

You can play skirmish if you want to practice without worrying about annoying people. It wont fully prepare you for fighting humans but you can get the gist of things. As for commanders if your soviets picking guard motor is always a solid choice or anything with guard rifle infantry for that matter. Your comrades will appreciate the AT support with your guard rifles.

Best commander is that you like and you know how to use :) guys are saying very good, don't worry about rude people. Try to play some games vs PC to learn how to use units.
Replays are great if you want to learn!

There are a lot new people here so maybe try to find team mates on your lvl and have fun with them.

GL HF see you in game :)
The two prior comments I agree, but to expand more upon the point of playing the computer to get experience I would recommend playing custom games agains the computer with other CPUs or with friends against the CPUs (Expert AI being the best substitute for a human player) and you can play annihilation (you can play a single game for hours on end depending on the faction) or victory point so you can develope strategies and tactics for any stage in the game on your own for either faction. In my opinion Elliot's comment is the best for the Soviets but really the best support anyone can do is to do recon, be aggressive, communicate, and for resources ammunition wins early game and fuel wins the late game. For Germans any doctrine that uses elephants, smoke bombing, mortar halftrack, 105mm Howitzer or the Pak 43, Opel Blitz trucks, or the artillery officer will do (look for combinations of these in the doctrines).

As I said before for germans look for a combination of the listed abilities and units I listed in my last comment, but for names of these I don't know maybe Festung SUPPORT Doctrine, Assaullt SUPPORT Doctrine, and JOINT OPERATIONS Doctrine (joint meaning combined and supporting one another). I digress, however, only one Soviet Doctrine was named, because Soviet Doctrine's lack support options honestly, and the closest Soviet's have to support doctrines other than the doctrine Elliot named would be Guards Rifle Combined Arms Tactics and NKVD Rifle Disruption Tactics ( If Soviet I do not recommend these two doctrines they are terrible comrades).

I played some AI games with armored assault, and I found the radio intercept worked well. Do the messages you get from it also got to your teammates? And I plan on buying joint operations for the Pak and lef 18, or the guards motor. Which one should I buy, and best play styles for it

Go soviets...youll get games really fast.

Might be up against better...well everything...but half the german side will lag DC and youll be fighting one player and a few AI in the end so it kind of evens out.

If ur using Soviets and have hard time agains the German MGs try using combination of snipers and Shock Troops
