I mean in comparison to that program that will just flat out give you the achievements for any game instantly without having to play it, using a trainer seems fairly harmless.
Only because you don't understand how harmful it is doesn't make it any less harmless.
Instead of trying to explain something you just don't get it... You tell me how will you cheat in single player without getting achievements. How exactly will you stop game from awarding you?

@T-Bone - Are you sure? If it's not a VAC secured game, you won't get banned or anything? Oh, and how do you find out if a Steam game is VAC secured or not?
Edit: Yeah its on the right side under where it explains what type of genre it is, how many players and what it includes.
