Why Soviet side dosent have bunkers?
I really cant believe how unbalanced game is this ...Just remember first COH serie there is was truly good balance between sides. But now German side stonger with any unit comparison also German AI much smart than Soviet AI . Who is lost in WWII ? Those Soviets rushed on them and defeat Germans then why Soviets weak like this?

im glad they didnt use the "both armies are the same but only different skins" and perhaps one more different unit formula..

I love it how it is now to be honest, its harder to find a good balance for relic(where everyone is happy :D), but if they once do, this game will rock....

ye well, balance is wehn nobody will rage anymore about it, but when that will happen, and IF it will happen, i do not know :D

imo its fun to find new stuff to fight other spams from german players, so i dont mind the totally different factions, usually those same faction rts games get old fast, and too much repitition in that .

but thats just imho.

I always heard that using a bunker in PvP was a really bad idea anyway.

I think if Soviet players used bunkers they would get beat more often. Playing defensive as the Soviets in PvP doesn't seem the way to go. Maybe they didn't want to encourage that defensive play.

I kinda like the sandbags better anyway. I'm a german player, and believe me bunkers are nice, but so expensive to use if you make them into anything, and if you put a squad in them everything dies with a Molotov. I like the idea of having sandbags, you get green cover, and you can get the heck out when you have to for a grenade or mortar or rocket. Use a halftrack to reinforce instead of a command bunker. I think Russia may have the better static defense. Especially combined with multi-purpose mines.

thats why the deployables and the infantry of the russian should be overall a bit more efficient, because they have no other de fense structure that take no pop cap. toobad the yare phasing that out little by little. i hope not too much.

both sides regardless of units should have bunkers and sandbags (the fact that tanktraps have been removed due to ai pathing issues is rather anoying) because both sides regardless of who you prefere should have the abillity to be defendable especially since the bunker doesnt use any popcap to upgrade to an mg bunker, if the russians do get a bunker they should only be able to make the mg bunker

ye but that would make it too much the same tbh, and owuld open the door to balance the stuff even more. i like it how its mandatory to "rush" be aggressive with the russians.

if you like to make a simcity, or just some bunkers, be more on the defense, you should stick to germans, if oyu liek to be more aggressive and attack more, then you should play the russians.

bunkers are nearly useless in PvP, consumes essential early game man power that can be otherwise used to build more infantry and you must spend another 60 ammo just to give it a MG.

It'll be much more useful and worth the price tag if it can fire 360 or at least 270 degrees.. why the MG guy can't shoot back anyway?

considering the historical background of the game and the fact both sides in coh1 were able to have defensive buildings tanktraps and sandbags it really doent make sence why both sides arnt able to make sandbags and bunkers in coh2 -_-
