There should be an option to perform a clean install. After installing, reboot and try the game again.
The update components are not the critical factor. However, since they appear corrupted, it may be other parts of the overall driver set may have some unexpected issues.
Bear in mind this may do nothing. There are other potential issues. BIOS on motherboard, hardware firmware, other system drivers, etc. It could simply be that something in your system is not capable of handling the game. Check the Windows event logs, Application and System. They may provide an indication of what crashed.
I keep hoping to find some logging for the game that will yield information. Even better, if I could find a debug mode, it would be easier to try and help find errors and post to the official forums.
You can pick up a system these days for about $800 that should carry you well enough into the latest games. That being said, I don't know you so I don't know if that is feasible for you or not. Here's to hoping you can do something to help your playability. :)
-> does not meet minimum requirements. Min req is GeForce 8800GT (and to be honest, it probably should be set higher - you realistically need GTX 285 or better card to play CoH2 properly.
Also need latest NVIDIA drivers, many bugs known with old drivers and modern DX11 games like CoH2.
