Relic server issue TECHs please help :)
First of all I can play COH1 perfectly fine but COH2 it says "Relic Servers Currently Unavailable" and tells me to try later. This has happened since i got the game and has not worked once even though I CAN CHAT to other players so i know there's some sort of connection.
I saw someone else having an issue like this and the thread didnt solve my issue.
I forwarded ports and turned windows firewall off.
See below for confirmaiton of the ports forwarded.
PLEASE help I waited soooo long for this game for it not to work for me! lol

that was the most ridiculous fix ever, as that doesn't solve the problem for MOST players. Problem isnt Ports or firewalls.

Tell me, what is your game version at this very moment? (you can see it above the "Exit" key while in the game menu.

Is it 3.0.0.11704 ? If it's lower than that then you have to update your game. If it's higher than that then your game version is probably correct and i am the one in need of an update. But i guess that is not the case.

Anyways, try this: Steam library - CoH2 right click - properties - local files - verify integrity of game cache

That should update the game if for some reason your game doesn't auto-update properly

You can try this, it might help-

Go to Library in Steam. Right-click "Company of Heroes 2". Click "Properties". Go to "Local Files" tab. Look for the "Verify Files" button at the bottom of the list on that tab. Click it, and let it run. It may take up to 5-10 minutes to finish. Once done, exit Steam completely by closing your browser, then right-clicking the icon in your toolbar and clicking "Exit". Restart Steam and see if that helps.

Steam causes some very odd bugs sometimes, and this fix works surprisingly well on bugs that don't always seem like they should fix it.

Thanks guys but it's still not working. I verified game integrity and restarted steam and even tried this twice and still the same thing. "Relic servers currently unavailable" even though I can see other players in the chat and chat back and forth.

Any thing else you can think of?
I don't know what may be blocking my connection to relic.. I heard the Company of Heroes (original) beta uses relic servers and maybe that's why I can't play that either even though I load the orignial fine!

If you can chat with ppl then it's not Relic server's fault.

The game is Peer2Peer so maybe there is something in your computer/router that is blocking your ability to connect to other's OR vice-versa.

Do you have UPnP enabled?

Universal Plug and Play, it's a setting in your router. Open up your router through your web browser and check it's settings

I followed the instructions on this page to enable UPnP

It seems like it might be a problem it this games' version. Max you can do is wait for the next patch or send a private message to relic support in the hopes they provide you the information you need

My game is up to date and I tried launching from store and it didnt work :\ anything you guys canthink of? Maybe its something simple and im over thinking it so please if you can think of ANYTHING please share!

I just downloaded the new patch for Company of Heroes 1 and now its doing the same thing!!

Maybe that's your problem, you are trying to launch the wrong game with the wrong version

No, I am trying to launch COH:2 lol I only brought it up because I find it strange that now all the Relic games are giving me this issue so it's not just COH:2 its COH:1 since the patch. Gotta be a connection issue with Relic I think. I'm lost.
