1) Never drive more than 2 tanks (for me T-34/76) on enemy infantry or you will get rekt because of that problem (the one in main topic).
2) Best is to use 1 very good micro-controlled tank than a pair of worse micro-controlled tanks.
3) If you're using 2 tanks, try to send them from different sides (like 1 is charging in the front and another one is flanking) then make a circle and start slowly making that circle lesser and lesser and then let your enemy taste the power of Soviet steel by rolling them.
4) Always recon territory that you're going to charge because your enemy can prepare a few gifts such as Pak43
5) You can have the best result against infantry if you are using T-34/76 in pair with Kutashas (or any other good artillery). For example rush their infantry -> they retreat -> you wait for a bit while they're retreating -> finish them off with Katusha's artillery strike right at their base -> laugh and shout URA while looking at their 5 stars infantry dying
(PS., sorry for going a bit off topic, but I tried to give the best tips I could)
Good Luck on the battlefield, fight for the Motherland
