Best map would be Lienne Forest because it has 3 kinds of terrains to fight. Urban/Field/Forest.

steppes pripyat(both) and rezhev hands down(the normal rezhev the one they removed from multiplayer..it was the best coh2 map)

I'd have to say Ettelbruck Station. VP's are close, fighting is intense and alot of CQB.

My first CoH skirmish was played on Semois, in the demo. I played that map a lot.

Semoskiy seems like a worthy successor. That's my favorite.
