It would be useless anyway, trust me.
But, if the performance will be about the same, it can help a lot implementing them.
What i realy complain is the way PTRS (and pzb39) work atm.
Those weapons make such a damn dmg to infantry that is not normal any more.
I see a lot of PTRS gunned soldiers that do insane dmg to infantry (and tanks).
What i personaly would change is the way those weapons work.
Those weapons should not do the insane dmg on the tanks as now (the penetration is a bit to big, at least on middle and heavy tanks), they should slower the speed of the tanks.
Why not, as long as the PTRS and PZB39 shoot at the tank, the tank has ~25% lower speed.
Perhaps it would be the other way to stop (slower) a tank, because as it is now you can stop (slow) a tank only by damaging his engine, if the throwed faust or nade success (mines also).
PTRS and PZB39 were build to damage the wheels of the tanks.
Damaged wheels means that the tank will cannot move at the same speed as w/out damaged wheels.
To simulate this real situation the PTRS and PZB39 should slower the tank speed.
