Mobile defense doctrine
the neutralized point capping is worthless IMO. it only works on neutral points, lasts for 1 min. costs like ...~40munitions. unless your capping 3 neutral points at a time this is a waste. only good in the most early part of game. i think the developer wants the player to over extend their advance by capping a lot of points, then defend parts of the map with fast mobile force.

the Puma is an appropriate call-in but anyelse think its overpriced? worth getting a puma over a panzer4, especially when it is a 6cp call-in? At 80 fuel cost; a flanking manuever is too risky in late part of game with the investment put into these things. with the Smoke ability you might be able to save your Puma from an approaching AT units

i've tried the osttrupen reserves call-in. you might get 2 squads with no experiece or you might get 2 squads with some vet and an lmg42. It costs 200 manpower to buy a normal osttrupen squad from other commanders at 0 cp. while this doctrine requires you to get some high amount of cp to get this call-in that costs 500 for 2 squads. would be better to just get 2 gren squads.

commander tank is an approipriate call-in
The pazer tactician perk (smoke ability) is a good combo with the puma.

would a mechanized assault group call-in (halftrack+PG) be too OP for this doctrine?

I think the Osttruppen reserves should be GURANTEED of equipment and/or vet on one of the squads, not just a chance.

Also, Osttruppen should be used defensively

Intentionally overextend with cap ability

Defend it with Osttruppen

Use Pumas and Paks as Mobile AT

Use Command P4 at the very back edges of sectors, so you still have the bonus but not have such an important unit vunerable

that is what im thinking but paks arn't mobile, but Panzergren with schreks are.

Well that 45 muni cost for a 0 cp ability is quite too much to make it useful during the early game, and later on there's almost no neutral points left, so i have never had the chance to use it. Puma is quite a good unit if you micro it well, and with vet it can take down medium tanks with some support.

I think its an alrihgt commander, though get those pumas in packs, 4 or 5 of those and you got something a tank should run from. These are fast enough that the heavy tanks cant turn their turret fast enough to hit it.

That reminds me, I had a pack of Osttruppen and 2 Pumas vs 2 T-34-85s.I somehow won by spamming 6 panzerfausts on the T-34-85s and only lost 1 puma them.

I find this doctrine sort of useless....but at least u can try the new puma unit that does damage against a t34 (which during the real war doesn't especially with a 50mm)
alright is cheap and in groups could be a serious threat (as scout car could be better then 222) but i still prefer a panzer

I managed to take down a KV tank with 2 Pumas and several Ostruppen, if used right the Ostruppen are worth their weight in price

puma pentration values are a bit screw up right now. its nearly 90% pen against heavier armor. something like 240 pen.

lol I was thinking the neutralized point capping thing was a passive bonus n it seemed to me - 'wow my iinf caps so fast with this'... great eg of placebo effect lmao
but about the ostrupens, I dont agree cos for just 20 more mp you get 6 man suads which can survive those explosive russian tank shells lil bit bettr than ur avg grens, pgrens

please correct me if Im wrong but doesnt a resource point youre decaping becomes a neutral point once enemy's flag goes down and the cap speed bonus applies to it after that?

please correct me if Im wrong but doesnt a resource point youre decaping becomes a neutral point once enemy's flag goes down and the cap speed bonus applies to it after that?

the increase cap speed bonus only occurs when its activated and on points that are neutral. once you decap an enemy point, it becomes neutral. when its neutral you cap it faster.

it would be nice to get 2 with a call in: more wow factor. You don't really need to tier up after your 1st tier; pumas and PG can take on soviet armor.:demoneye:_:demoneye:

True, but since it is 45 mp for 1 minute, you wont be able to turn many points into neutral before the time expires. IMO it is not worth it, unless you have several neutral points to own at the same time within the minute of duration of the ability.

yep its mostly useless for 45munis but it sure can have some situational uses like in vp game ur low on vp points (does it work on neutral vps as well?) end game or wanna harras you send everal units out to cap points across the map n activate this just as soon as the sov flag is about to come down
