Did you update your video drivers?
lungenfoto Jan 28, 2014 @ 2:40am
there are problems with ATI/AMD 4000 series. try these 2 steps

1. uninstall all current video card drivers using this application. This takes place in safe mode
http://www.guru3d.com/files_details/display_driver_uninstaller_download.html

2. install the beta drivers listed here
https://help.sega.com/entries/22090370-Company-of-Heroes-2-AMD-2000-3000-and-4000-Drivers-and-Compatibility

if this doesn't work, you need to talk to whoever you bought the game from and tell them it doesn't work with this card (this issue is longstanding)

I bought this game from a game store, so its not digital. Ok I will try it now

its 13.9 now, should I download the update either for amd?
lungenfoto Jan 28, 2014 @ 3:28am
No, those drivers were produced to fix the issue with the card. See if the game runs now. Turn down all the video settings and turn off anything else you can do without, such as music, then do a performance test via options to see what fps you get. Then slowly move the grafik settings up to your taste, testing fps as you go, to find a balance.

There are other fixes which have been tried, such as forcing DX9 but it will take some digging to unearth the details of them.

Give it a bit more time to test but do stick with those drivers. Make sure vents are clean, so card doesn't overheat, and if you get more problems search this forum and the official one. There was a lot of info on possible solutions at the official forum, but it got wiped when they changed the format.

Guys, eee...the problem...appeared again. Yes, same problem :(

I take it this is after a reboot of your machine?

Did the drivers get updated, same version as beta?
Pope_John Jan 31, 2014 @ 1:50am
No, drivers didn't get any update. Reboot? I closed my computer at night and opened today but i was doing it even since i did the process for driver

Okay only thing I can think right now is temperatures of graphics card. Do you have any specific error messages or BSOD code? I will need to ask a friend who is an expert about the other options, he tried them all.

edit- I asked him so hopefully he will respond here with other things he tried to get it working on that card.
