How to open a Tuning Pack (sga. format) using the MOD Builder???
I'm playing the All Units MOD and want to give it some tweaks. Plenty of tutorials are available online as to how to perform the basics (such as add one more soldier to each squadron). However, all of them are about creating one's own MOD file from scratch. Since I am trying to modify an existing MOD, I have to open the file that is already out there.

To my frustration, the MOD file (which locates in the "tuning" folder within "mods") is in sga. format which ModBuilder and its subsidiary Attribute Editor simply can't read - the former only recognizes the so-called "Project Files", whatever that means, whereas the latter only XML files. Neither can open sga. file.

Therefore, I wonder if anyone knows how to open an exsting MOD file with sga. suffix. Do I have to converit its format? There must be a way, or else how are the creators of these Tuning Packs supposed to update their own mods?

Any helps please?? Thanks!

SGA can be extracted with Archive.exe which is located within the CoH2 folder. Open it with Cmd. Your command should look something like "archive.exe -a AllUnits.sga -e C.\ExtractedStuff\AllUnitsMod" Of course with changed directories and without quotes.

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
