But since there are some babies that whine when they see "SS" Relic cant put that name.
In CoH1, Knight's Cross Holders were basically SS troops.
In CoH2, OberSoldatan are basically SS troops.
The reason they do not call them SS, though, should be obvious. Instead, they have vaguely similar uniforms and are named something else.
Honestly, I'm surprised they even used the name NKVD for one or two of the Soviet doctrines. NKVD was not exactly much better than the SS.
I don't think its a matter of whining babies so much as not wanting to add in a unit that is composed of the population directly participating in the holocaust and had civilian death squad duties. I think we can all be happy that there isn't the potential to talk about how "Good" the SS are, even when it's in reference to their elite training.
There is a difference between racial targetting and rooting out enemies to the state from 1917-1935 that the NKVD oversaw, but yeah once Stalin solidated his power the NKVD kind of jumped into a kill everyone mentality.
CoH1 also had stormtroopers, who could also be considered to be Waffen-SS troops due to their uniforms and access to an MP44 upgrade.
sturmtroopen would be a better name.
