I guess if you are really in to multiplayer this is worth it. If single player is your thing, it's not worth it.
it is standalone, but customers are able to play "our" 23 maps with their units anyway, nice to us that payed/own the "full" game.
maybe they do not have the units from the main game but they get that maps we paid for.... so i read the description of western front
For 20$ it is worth it, but it feels quite different from vanilla.
