So these DLCs gives you factions for MP:
Western Front Armies
British Forces
And there are three Theater of War DLCs, which contains solo/coop challenges.
And there is one American campaign called Ardennes Assault .
anything beside these are just minor DLCs.
I don't consider this game much fun in single player, so neither the Theatre of War packages, nor Ardennes Assault seem to be worth it imo. Nothing there feels too great or challenging compared to playing against real people.
As for Commanders... Well they are a mixed bag. A few add some nice options you might want to consider. They can freshen up the experience a bit, give you different units to play with and allow for new strategies and playstyles (some influence that a lot, other only a bit).
Best stay clear from that and use the basic ones. You might get a commander dropped by warspoils anyways. You'll know wether you really want one or not, when you play for a while. Definitly do NOT buy them on the thought that some might be overpowered. Most people that tell you that just don't know how to play. Would be a waste of money.
They're still fun to play because they have a nice choice of tanks to use so they aren't bad. Just not what many bought them for.
Edit: Relic have made announcements about their upcoming patch and it'll change UKF even more so I'd say wait for that patch before you decide if you want UKF or not.
