How do you find out your ELO rating?
This is absolutely ridiculous. I've been on one massive losing streak no matter the games I play and I ALWAYS end up against players who are prestieged or rank 80-90(I'm rank 35!). It results in a poorly balanced game where we get stomped on. On the flip side before this I was winning all my matches.

I know how ELO works but are you honestly suggesting ELO is put into play from your very first match without even having reached a specific rank/play time? How ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ridiculous is that?!

I'm not the best player out there but the fact that I could go from playing against terrible players/semi-decent players to non-stop rank 80s/90s and prestiege players is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ joke. How am I supposed to learn how to play new armies when I can't stand a chance against players who have been playing for hundreds of hours and know the game like the back of their hand?

How can I find my ELO rating? Something is amiss here. I can't believe this POS match making would place me versus a non-stop gauntlet of players who have hundreds of hours on their shoulders and a clearer understanding of the tactics for each army.

The rank you see in game, ie. the level of the player has NOTHING to do with the player's ELO rating so chill. I was rank 70-80 siz months ago when I temporarily quit this game, but I was terrible becuase most of the leveling up was done with AI.

Your rank very much does have a huge impact. It's an indication as to what you should know about the game and how to play. It's only common sense that the more time you spend on something the better you become and CoH2 is not exempt of that.

Regardless I still want to know my ELO. How the hell do I do that?

Well you can find out your over rank in the leaderboards at CoH2.org. Just take your steam profile URL and enter it in the leaderboard section of the website.

And no, rank just gives you an idea that how much hours the player has put in the game. It can very well be due to contant losses in campaign, AI skirmishes, or sometimes, multiple losses in automatch. So while the player technically has more experience, its not of great quality.

Its like for some people it takes lesser time than other to understand stuff. Pure Skill is what matters, experience does when it is quality experience and not some random crap.

I don't need to know my rank. I don't care about my rank. I just want to know how to find my ELO. Checking the website only shows my wins and losses(And it's totally wrong!!) and there's nothing about ELO in the ladder section bar organising it by "Elo rating" with no actual ELO value.

Why is this so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hard?!

Well AFAIK you can't check your ELO rating, but the leaderboard rank gives you a fair idea as to where you stand and the kind of players you will be matched to on the first preference.

As for the stats being wrong...welll that would be a first.

1) what probably happened is you played your first 10 calibrating games where you been randomly assigned opponents. with luck or skill, you managed a nice win/lose ratio, so the system must have ranked you pretty high, this is why you are now getting pooled in the high skill bracket. you'll keep losing until your ELO eventually drops to where you belong

2) I understand your reasoning behind rank-experience, but still ELO has NOTHING to do with the stars you see on the profile. A smurf account could only be level 20 in COH2 but rank top 1 in the world in their leaderboards

3) to check your rank, either go in game to MEnu/leaderboard, then search by player and write in your steam username OR go to www.coh2.org then PLayercards and again write your steam username or steam ID number. Either way, you will see your global rank. If not mistaken, the relatively active playerbase is around 50k, so build on that to determine your percentile and understand if its a system error and what not

But how do I find my ELO?
Equim Jul 11, 2014 @ 4:21am
I believe the ELO is hidden for matchmaking and whatnot.

what the f... is ELO ??

Doesn't just assign you to an empty slot by default if it can't find enough players with a similar ELO rating?

Ha! You'd be amazed at the ammount of people that could sink 2000h into this game and still suck balls.

It broadens the search, but not endlessly.
