Favourite Faction(s) And Why?

What is your favourite faction(s) and why? Mine as the British because of the emplacements (and the awesome voices) and the Wehrmacht for a balanced army (strong tanks, good mortars and decent inf).

Please do not turn this thread into one where it goes "The brits are OP" etc.

Soviets- Their lack of defenses and cheap / plentiful units force them to play more offensively and focus on overwelming thier enemies. Their strategies are heavily dependent on commander choice. They have some of the most unique commanders available and easily some of the best doctrinal units.

UKF- Their emplacements and fireflies make them ideal as a support faction. I will usually build emplacements in areas that benefit not just myself, but also my team. And the firelies are the ultimate panther cracker. Their infantry is perfect for smaller games, but I usually stay away from them in larger games.

USF- This faction is probably the hardest to master, but all of the best players will own with them. They have extremely versitile unit rosters that can handle almost any task thrown at them. They can play defensive, they can play offensive, they can play the flank-n-spank game, etc. Their infantry can be geared for a multitude of roles. The only thing they lack is in panther defense, though the recent patch has reduced this weakness. This is probably the only faction in the game that could be easily played WITHOUT a commander choice due to its inherent versitility.

Wehr- They are also a versitle faction, thought they seem to play more defensive than offensive. They can build very valuable bunkers to offset their limited infantry capacity. I love to use them in a counter-attack role where the enemy either throws themselves at my defensive position and is beaten back, thus opening an avenue for an attack. Their armor seems suited for this perpose as well. like the Soviets though, they can be dependent on their doctrine

OKW- Very aggresive faction that gets very cheap frontline units and very versitile ones at that. Their ostruppen are my personal favorite main infantry unit in the game because they get snares and anti-building weapons, and are almost unstoppable at vet 3+ with stgs. Their armor is expensive, and is geared more towards playing outnumbered or used in an ambush/support role with the cheap infantry. I usually pick the jadgpanzers over panthers due to this.

Seem a bit strange to have a plural of favorites.

Simply put. Wehrmacht. StuGs, 251s, Stormtroopers. Partly nostalgia of the old wehrmacht but overall they just suit my playstyle the best. They can be tricky and easily penned in during the early game. But well handled. There is nothing quite like the wehrmacht playstyle.

Gameplay build 100% around doctrine. Using new doctrine is like playing new army.

UberKW
Very strong units and every unit elite in some way. Preservation is hightly rewarded. P4 - best tank in game that kill everything. Panther and KT overhyped things.

UKF- sux.
USF/Wer too balanced and boring for me.

I dont have favourites,but i enjoy playing with the soviets a lot,mainly because of two reasons.

1.They are the soviets.
2.Partisans.

USF
- Love the 1940s speak that no one uses anymore.
- Love Shermans and American armor even if they don't perform realistically
- Fast, Micro intensive, hard to master gameplay makes you feel amazing when you pull off a perfect maneuver.
-Sadly only really good for 1v1, which can be stressful but it helps you from being stomped by the late-game oriented germans.

- Always fun to have superior units

They are all fun but Ost feels more well-thought. It´s more a matter of taste, really, but OKW will always feel gimmicky compared to Ost

brens are great, especially when compared to BARs

A.Generally:
1.They need skill (They always challenge me to play better).
2.They are rewarding if played properly.
3.They have powerfull heavy tanks and elite infantry.

B.Specifically:
1.Grenadiers with great abilities and mobile MG42.
2.PzGrenadiers with STG's and later 2xPzSchrecks.
3.MG42 with special ammunition that can damage light armor.
4.Special sniper shot that can kill up to three squadmates if they are close one another.
4.Pak40 stun vehicle ability.
5.Panzer Tactitian and Mortar Halftrucks(incendiary shot) Doctrine abilities.

C.Just for fun:
1.Anglo-German voiceovers.

Honestly i like them all, so i will rank them with this ''top five'' list(like there are more factions...for now):
1st:Wehrmacht(1st and best).
2nd(1st and a half to be frank):UKF.
3rd:USF
4th(Along with USF actually but whatever):OKW.
5th(absolutely):Soviets.
