Demolition charges are bullsh!t
They wouldn't bother me if they could be disarmed like mines but they can't.
I dealt with someone who was spamming them so I get my pioneers with a minesweeper. They detect a demo charge. I'm thinking "cool, I'll just move them closer so they can disarm it". Next thing I know my pioneers are gone.
This is practically an exploit, especially when the enemy is spamming demo charges because the damn things can't even be disarmed.

Lelic really needs to fix this bs.

>inb4 "just avoid them"

If they are placed all over the victory points they are pretty hard to avoid.

you can just attack them... that makes them blow up.

Really doesn't matter. Your pioneers need to get close to them with the minesweeper to detect them. So even if you can see them you still lose your pioneers.
Barrage demo charges with any arty or anything so it will explode.

You need to find them first. If you find them you lose your pioneers with minesweeper.
The point is that you should just be able to disable them like any other mine.

IIRC minesweepr detection radius is much larger than demo explosion radius

Fair enough but you should still be able to disable them through normal means.

Well... actually we are in need of more of these kind of mechanics, the idea is to fight blobbing not encourage it

I find it interesting that the best things the Allies have up their sleeves are "overpowered".

I think it should have bonus damage against infantry bullet so infantry can destroy the demo by themselves after taking decent amount of time (like bit more longer than disabling mine).

Demo relies on player to activate it so it would be bit odd to not be able to activate it especially when it is such a huge MU sink.

Attack them with mortars or arty or use attack ground with any explosive weapon.

You can defuse demo charges.

Just FYI, you can disarm demo charges as you would mines. I have lost a couple of charges when not paying attention to the sneaky enemy minesweeper nearby. This is also true of the booby trap, which can also be disarmed and rather quickly.

Finally, the range of the minesweeper is *much larger* than the charge explosion radius, so if you pay attention while playing you can clearly see the charge in your line off sight from a very safe distance. Then you just shoot it.

If you move without a minesweeper into unknown territory you risk walking into all kinds of nasty traps.

A minesweeper costs 30 ammo and takes less than 10 seconds to upgrade.

Over and out.

I'm sure they'll get nerfed like everything else in due time.

WHY. why do u go in if you know there is a demo charge, thats just ur own fault. just shot it with arty, nades or auto attack with anti tank gun or a tank. Sooo if lelic should fix that, i say

your engineers will be a very safe distance from the demo charges when they first see them. leave them there then get anything else to attack ground, how are you struggling with this???
