COH2 US Hellcat??

does anyone know if we will ever see the return of my favorite coh1 td the hellcat? do people think it should make a come back? they look so much cooler than the m10 by far i say and has a hmg mounted so it would be like and equivelant to the stug..

The M10 already has low hp and is based on the sherman chassis,now go figure the flames when people find out their light chassis td is so fast it can stand 2 pschrecks before exploding.

Except, worse gun, frontal armour than can be penetrated by a .50 cal (imagine what 20mm cannons would do) and faster (only thing going for it really)

The M36 jackson has a better gun and much better armour, the M10 has the same gun and better armour, both can mount a .50 cal browning.

I'm talking game wise not realism and if it was realism it wouldnt matter about the jackson having better armor because nearly anything the germans had could wipe it out anyway. Also in the game i cant mount a browning to m10 or m37, also this game is way more about ballance than realism im sure if they wanted to they could easily ballance in the hellcat and give it the same specs as the m10 but with slightly less hp and more speed

but it would make absolutely no sense, that's what I'm trying to get at here, it's inferior to almost everything we currently have.

Also, it's a StuK 40 that is mounted on the Stug 3, capable of firing APCBC shells with a penetration of 107mm of armour at 1000m, which is either exactly the same (M79 shells), 1mm more (M62 shells) or slightly worse than the 76mm M1 gun (M93 shells), unless the Stug uses the L/48 version, in which case it has better penetration than the M1 unless it is using M93 shells.

no, the M1 is still superior because it does its job (killing AFVs, with a side of splattering infantry) better than the KwK40. mostly because the Nazis didn't figure out sloped armor until like '42. and even then, they only made the-part-of-the-tank-you-don't-shoot harder to kill. the sloped-armor TDs (read: JPzIV, Jagdpanther, etc.) aren't being discussed here because they were produced in very limited numbers compared to the more common StuG.
