how MG supression works in this game?
Because when I successfully get out of line of fire I still get supression for extended time. Sometimes it's just fine, few second of supression effect and good to go, but sometimes it takes like minutes. I double check unit spread and line of fire and there is no units in arch of fire, this is bull shet.

It does take some time to wear off. Generally the longer your troops have been supressed, the longer it will take them to get back on their feet. Typically if they're suppressed and taking damage, it's better to retreat.

the problem is exposure was not long, but very close and i easily went to safe zone away from arch of fire during flanking.
It really depends on what type of MG you are up against, because different MG's have different supression rates. Example: MG42 has the highest suppression rate but low on damage, Maxim MG has Good Supression and Damage but low arc of fire. Vickers are good damage but sucks on supression etc etc...

Learn the types of MG's and figure out how to deal with them
Stop moving your units when they're out of suppression zone (even 1 guy can cause entire squad to be suppressed)

everytime one of my squads get suppressed and out of cone, I just tell them to stop and after5-10 secs they'll get back up.
its inconsistent how supression works

sometimes mg42 instapins, while maxim takes roughly 2-3 seconds to fire at to supress
sometimes maxim will take 20+ seconds to pin someone
obviously this is all assuming your at max range where supression takes the longest to take effect

sometimes after the mg42 stops firing, it "bugs" out i think and literally takes upward of 15 seconds to get up, or it unsupressed state goes through normally and your troops are fine after a few seconds

mg34 is noticeably the worst though, it takes years to pin but causes the most bug outs
At least in CoH1, getting shot at after being suppressed maintained suppression (not necessarily from HMG, could be just normal SMG shooting at the suppressed squad)

Wonder CoH2 has similar mechanic.

I does you can keep a squad pinned for quite a while even with only rifle infantry.
were you completely out of combat or still under fire from other units?regular infantry can keep surpression from a mg up for quite some time.
