Sherman 4C or T34/76?
I wonder which tank is effective for its cost

Sherman is more reliable. 76mm HV gun, better armour, more HP and gets a .50 cal.

I've always wondered if the easy 8 is better or the 4c. Or are they the same?

4C has faster reload than E8 and E8 has more HP (or armor).

T34-76 is weakest tank in game. So anything is better.

The Sherman 4C is one of the only medium tanks that you can still call-in without tech. Allows for some different builds when using the Lend Lease commander.

For example T1 into T3 into T2. Your early game is held up by Penals and DshK (maybe mix a few cons in if you can).
You can use the M5 call-in as your midgame vehicle, get some AT-guns to carry you into the lategame and then pop a lot of Shermans with the fuel you otherwise saved on T4.
