Noobs and Idiots in COH2

First of all I need to say that I don't expect that things will change with the Coh2 community or that what I write is appreciated. What I write is simple the way I feel about those 2 groups of people and give advice on how to improve.

In a lot of games I played, people start to outrage and calling their teammates noobs. Some players point to various locations on the map where things aren't going the way they like and say nothing at all. Sometimes they complain to the other team about their own incappable teammates. They start to insult their teammates and then finally leave the game. If I see somebody behaving like this I always hope he/she leaves the game as early as possible. Because these people are idiots. I'm sorry if you recognize yourself doing this and I call you an Idiot for that. It's not that I want to insult you but I simply think this term describes people best with that kind of behavior.

Then there are a group of people that simple doesn't know how the game works. They don't know when to retreat, they don't know when to attack and when to defend. Basically they don't have a tactical awareness of the battle or at least the sector they are fighting in. Yes these people are unexperienced and called noob, newbie or boon.

What do you do when you are confronted with one of these groups? And with which group is it more likely to enjoy the game?

When you are confronted with unexperienced players and you see mistakes in that what your teammates do and you would know it better. Than please share your wisdom with the unexperienced players in a kind or at least not insulting way. Think about how you could improve gameplay by being a teammate. Don't think about winning the game anymore. Playing a game isn't about winning a game. I'm sure some parents of yours did loose intentionally on some broadgames with you when you were little. Just to make you feel happy. Are you still that little that you can't bear a defeat without crying around like a 3 year old? If you are and I don't make you think with these lines you are truely childish, ignorant and by no means helpful to play a team based game like COH2. You are not needed in a cooperative multiplayer. Please go on playing campain or singleplayer. I'm sorry to say that.

Think about this. How helpfull is it to tell an unexperienced player that he/she is an unexperienced player? Will this help him/her to become a seasoned veteran? Will this improve the game? Will wildliy pointing on the map without saying what to do here and there improve the battlefield situation? No it won't, you only mess up the game experience for everybody in the game including yourself, because you neglect your own front while insulting your teammates.

When you are a newbie and you know that you aren't great in the game yet. Tell everybody in the beginning of the game you are a new player. Think about this. You are new to the game, it's only natural that you aren't performing as good as other players. You are a noob and that is ok. You will pick up the game with time and it protects you from people trying to insult you.
If people are starting to complain about your game style you can, ask what to do better. If you don't get a constructive answer just forget about it alltogether. It's not worth spending anymore effort.

With which group is it more likely to enjoy the game?

I played games where I recognized that I play against an unexperienced player. And those players did fight to the finish. They didn't leave the game early. They lost of course but they did the best to there abilities and that is ok. They aren't to blame or to insult in my eyes for anything they did.

I was a newbie myself once in a while and some people came up and gave advice on what to do and it helped me to improve my game. Allthough I can coun't these games on 2 hands. I do admire people that give advice in a kind manner. It improves every game regardless of winning or loosing.

I personally enjoy playing a game with noobs much more then with idiots.

In matches you can't waste time explaining over chat what to do to a guy who completely forgets his side and then rushes middle to build a bunker that faces backward. Just say ♥♥♥♥ it and leave the match.

Both are ♥♥♥♥, but noobs are arguably worse because they make you lose a game and, thus time invested.

For people that just want explosions, there are the guys who play only against bots in custom, FFS.

I just don't like if players start to insult other players. It ruins the game. What I wrote isn't there to insult people. I wrote it to make people think. Regardless of how I play. Im not perfect in Coh2 I win and loose like every other person too. But I don't insult players of their mistakes.

If you think of your time as an ressource you invest in something. I would say all time you spend on gaming is wasted time. It is wasted because you don't get anywhere in your life when you win or loose a game. That you get achievments is only the impression of that you actually gain something. But really it is nothing. Time is gone anyway. The main thing is that you enjoy your time while playing. I enjoy games also when I lose. If I put up a fair fight. There is nothing to be ashamed of. Other people are better players then I'm. I'm totally ok with that.

Ha, some wise words there. I wish I thought that way but I do get angry if my own performance is inhibited by other players' performance. I don't insult people on CoH, but I get the people who do. I'm not saying it's right but I understand their motives.

if one can't even beat the AI Hard should not join automatch vs people
couse automatch puts no levels or sometimes low levels with high levels and it messes up the match for the whole team

If you are new to the game play PVE East Mode which is the Wehrmacht on Hard. When you win a bunch of times as them move on to the Russians, OKW and British. Then get a lot of Alcohol and play as Americans. When you can win as Americans you know what you are doing.

Never build OKW bases you can't defend. Holding both fuel delays AI Armor spam by 4 minutes.

So I recently got the game this weekend on sale and I agree with you on the noobs over idiots part. I used to play a bit of C&C:RA2 with a group I found online so I understand how multi in games like this is. Personally, Im working on being able to win against AI on standard. I don't think i'll even consider playing online until I know just about everything and can hold my own. from my perspective, if you are good at the game and you see an inexperienced player, go ahead and send them help. I learned from what my teammates were doing. Like to put rocket troops (guardians/flak) into apcs from seeing a convoy of them rush into a base. I was amazed and I started to follow that idea. so I just wanted to give my thoughts on this. Also, if you guys have any tips for me, I mostly play as americans and I tend to just pump out echelons and play airborne. I would love your tips, feedback or opinions on this.
