Suppress with no upgrades or vet : Yes, but you need to be in lockdown mode, inside the firing cone, and it takes a couple of bursts, also the enemy usually needs to be in the open.
Shoot out the back : Yes, it has 4 firing slots (like most other HTs), so 4 people total can shoot out of it, prioritizing those with weapon upgrades.
