start up COH2 black screen issues

only hear the startup audio and black screen, who else having this problem? i just downloaded this game and this problem still get me maybe wait for new update ?

It's a screen refresh rate issue.
Use init string to fix it.

ive tried every tutorial every fix on youtube on web anything, my problem is at the beginning its like i can open it but theres no intro video just audio, and wallpaper lies company of heroes 2... the image is beach battle from sky kinda like that,

its like a wall like its block my game vision, i move my mouse around i can hear the menu sound fx something like that so its like a wall i cant see not an error from beginning blackscreen

{ its like u open a game, then u open new tab to see some image that maybe ur friend send to u }

idk maybe because of my 240 refreshrate display or what i give up

Yes, the 240 Hz frame rate is what is causing it.

nope ive change to 100hz still open with photo not even blackscreen anymore

In the TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE forums there are multiple threads relating to this very same problem. One of them was mine, as I had this same problem back in December after buying a new Alienware. Here is the cut-n-paste solution that fixed this for me and for dozens of other players who were similarly afflicted:
If your monitor refresh rate is higher than 144hz;
Go to the STEAM LAUNCH OPTIONS and type this in:
-refresh 144 -nomovies -window -fullwindow -forceactive
+++++
-refresh 144 (or lower) must be used or the game will fail to start, it doesn't matter if you can't actually achieve 144FPS or more.
This game is several years old and anybody with a newer, high end monitor gets the very same symptom that you describe. The line I typed above is exactly what is now in my own launch options.

dude ive been reading this, i said ive search all solution for this problem, i found that you text this to other person and ive tryed it before u even tell me its not working, but heres a good news fortunately i have my old pc monitor [ 1600x900 60hz ] i just foundout that i try to make this second monitor to my main monitor and its working now i can play thnx for ur help man
