Extremely Laggy Main Menu

Hey i only recently got back into this game.. and since my last time playing i've upgraded to a 144hz monitor and i've noticed that for some reason now.. when im in the Main Menu its so incredibly slow and sluggish but when im in game.. everything is totally fine... again i haven't played in ages.. has it always been like this?

Use "-refresh 120" as the launch options.

weird issues, works great at 144hz 2k monitor :s
maybe at the end the system itself effected per screen resolution or more from 1 display screen.

Menu is locked to 30 FPS, hence it's laggy, and the animated backgrounds don't help it either.
Solution for that - remove backgrounds.
Go to your steam folder, steamapps, common, company of heroes 2. There, get into COH2 folder, movies and delete the following:

** flag_british.lua
** flag_british.webm

** flag_german.lua
** flag_german.webm

** flag_soviet.lua
** flag_soviet.webm

** flag_west_german.lua
** flag_west_german.webm

** fe_intro_loop.lua
** fe_intro_loop.webm

** flag_aef.lua
** flag_aef.webm

144Hz support came with the latest update, however, it's not totally functional on all displays and resolutions.

Where is this option? i can't find it

On the main game screen, look at the bottom left, then click on the "Menu." A new list opens. There is a bar beneath all options, put that on max. (Slide it to the right)
