Why does USF only have one heavy tank?
Weren't there more tanks close to being classified as a heavy tank or in between medium tanks with at least bigger guns?

pershing and Jumbo are the only things that come to mind, the sherman was already one of the most heavily armored medium tanks of world war 2 comparatively

he looks heavy, in fact is medium tank that 'turned' to be heavy, sad.
tanks battle always brutal.
Most of tanks heavier than Pershing didn't even saw service. They're either:
-too heavy. Tanks from US had to be shipped with cranes with about 40 ton weight limit.
-too big. Rail transport's still big deal in WW2.
-broke down a lot. Look no further than "big cats" for examples.

I demand super-pershing non-doc for america as the only us vehicle!
A lot of the American tanks needed to be brought over via ship, thus they had a specific size requirement that forced the form of the tank design that was ultimately used.

In the later stages of the war of course, some battalions would up-armour their Shermans to create the Rhino or the Jumbo.

Don't be so negative :)
I would, however, love for Jumbo Shermans to be in-game.

Because USF was designed without heavy tanks. Pershing may have been an asset made during the WFA development, but aside from that, the devs never planned for the AEF to have a heavy tank

Also, USF had no Heavy skins in the beginning.

Maybe he's condescending because new people come on steam and whine the same whine, whine after whine.

If one can whine, one can be condescending. I dunno which world you live on but consdescention was never meant to be funny....

Btw I think the word you are looking for is sarcastic

In active combat use?
No.

Bear in mind that the Pershing was so rare that a Panther commander recorded in his memoirs that his tank was knocked out because he hesitated to engage a pershing because he was convinced a tank that size had to be German.

closest thing for a jumbo is a sherman + bulldozer
Medium tank with bigger gun was the Sherman with 76mm long gun i think, firefly in Commonwealth. The pershing was the heavy tank it arrived very late, just a couple saw action in Germany during the last months of the war.
