How to get supply points?

Being a noob, the first thing I did once I got my supply points was spend it all on unit upgrades, thinking it would stack up together. However, I ended up realizing you could only have 3, making the other 20 or so useless. I want some commanders, but I'm not sure how to get supply points.

I've played 3 matches (almost an hour each), but I haven't gotten anything yet.

There is a blue bar that keeps track of how many points you have and need to get the next drop or coins (you can get either or). A match has to last 5minutes+ to be able to get points. Once that blue bar fills up you will get your supply points or supply drop. Win, you get more points, lose you get half of what you would win. A match give you points not a reward, you need to fill that point bar to get a reward, meaning play more matches until it gets filled.

sorry for necro, just want to make sure that i understood it correctly.

1. play match for at least 5 mins
2. win match, get 2000 points, lose match, get 1000 points (custom battles against only ai also give points, at least it seems like that to me)
3. accumulate 6000 points either by winning 3 matches, losing 6 matches or any combination of the two
4. get lootbox with either new "equipment" (commander, skin, etc.) or some random amount of supply points (guessing something between 100 and 500)

is this correct?

You get 30,000 supply points by registering on companyofheroes.com

If you threw them all away, start grinding or paying $

- Lose get 1500
- You get points for 5 min game vs AI. You get points for 3 hr game with 8 human playerts.
... The same amount of points.
After 6000 points, you get 300 (or is it 500? Supply points)
- It's not random. It's specific.

The specific part is a minimum required of 5 mins in the game. What IS random is what you get, and it rarely is supply points if you haven't unlocked a lot of skins, bulletins and commanders.
