Company of Heroes 2 Master Collection 8 DLC not included.

I purchased the Company of Heroes 2 Master Collection BUNDLE on steam assuming that I get everything just to later find out that is missing 8 additional DLC.

Apparently the DLC have DLC that are not included in the Master Collection.

I'm glad I didn't pay full price because if I did I would be angry because the 8 DLC should be included but apparently they did something to the DLC that made a lot of people angry and to add insult to injury I'm not able to install certain DLC no idea why.

It seems the developer are working on it. the developer should include the 8 additional DLC that was not included in the Master Collection for this mishap an inconvenience as I'm considering for a steam refund but I do not wish to take that route as I have this game in my library for a very long time and I never played it because it didn't have all the DLCs and apparently I still don't. not the relevant one to make it complete to enjoy the game fully.

Also there's this 2 DLC but they are not important.

Point being to be able to have the complete collection of Company of Heroes 2 you will have to dash out additional €8 to get the relevant DLC and that is when it is on sale. when is not on sale each DLC cost €4.

If you include the charity one that tally up to 38 euro on sale and when is not on sale with the charity DLC that is 62 euro on top of what you already paid for for the master collection.

I bought the master collection bundle as well, only to find out at a later stage that a lot of DLC that are not even included on the main page of the game are not included.

What's the point of having a master collection bundle, if half the collection is missing.

I feel rip off. I believe if you don't have all the DLC you don't have a complete game hence an incomplete experience. It seen that they made a complete game and then they cut it out to make it into DLC. it is like what they did in Total War Shogun 2 with the blood DLC pack. like are you kidding me? Samurai fighting with sword with no blood? I got to pay extra for that.

It will have to come a time when this will have to be regulated as the consumer is not getting what they paid for.

Those "DLC" are just commanders you can buy with in-game money.
Master Collection contains actual expansions that you can't buy with game money.

Real money and virtual money is there a difference now? I didn't know there was in game purchase. So that mean their basically microtransaction is this game too? no wonder I'm still playing old games.

they're just commanders, lots of them have identical units to other stock commanders, you can only equip 3 at a time anyway (not like there are many more meta ones per faction) and you get them with supply from playing

yes you can get supply by playing
depends what the end goal is
if you just want the best 'meta' commanders, most of them are provided for free right away and the rest you can get very quickly (if you sign up to relic too you get supply for 3 commanders free)
if you want all the commanders then that's a much longer playtime

So just to clarify this is for the single player campaign? if so that it's a bit much if I need to grind but anyway I appreciate your input to get more clarity.

Because ever since they put microtransaction in game that you already paid for. it just got worse and worse and I was hoping this game will not be in the same threshold considering that the game is old.

I literally haven't purchased any new game as I literally wait like a year or two before buying them because when you purchase a new game they are generally full of bugs and they're not complete do to the DLC and those that have microtransaction I just avoid them entirely.

Keep in mind I am old generation back then we didn't have DLC we had expansion pack. you had a full game back then and the expansion pack just give you more of what you already paid for after enjoying the full game without any grind.

Nowadays when you play a new game it doesn't feel like you have a full experience seriously it doesn't.

Everyone is experiencing a similar problem after purchasing the master collection the developer are looking into the problem you have to wait for them to fix it there's nothing else you can do.

Also it is poor conduct to post a comment that is not relevant to the original topic you should have start your own topic separately regarding your inquiries. just for you to know in the future as every forums have the same rule as it is to avoid confusion as well as topic that is not relevant to the question at hand as you are doing now.

It's depend on how you take it really. is the items included worth your spending money? i say yes. its so damn cheap for all that content. and you still want more, maybe that is abit greedy

and no, its not only 8. there is hundread item like that in game. people call it microtransaction or p2w or something like that. yes you need to pay more to unlock all of those, assuming you don't like to grind. is that necessary? no. and again its depend on you actually.

In the event the developer doesn't fix this in a few days you should start your topic regarding your problem for them to be aware of it.

I already paid for the game on top of that I have to grind for a game that I already paid for because they have microtransaction in the game and I'm a bit greedy make perfect sense thank you.
