Relic is near bankruptcy
According to owler site, relic had Estimated Annual Revenue previous year is only $4.5M, that extremely low, it's lower than all salary of all relic employers, even if we calculate all averaged salary like one employer gets 70k $, if we calculate we will get 70000*205=14,35M $, and get fact that relix working in extreme lession, and in fact their revenque lower than averaged budget of game of AAA-class (18-24 M $). Maybe this is reason of all support problems of relic RTSes?
P.S. I'm afraid very soon relic will be closure:(

Basically they're committing suicide by NOT developing CoH 3. It's too bad. We'll likely never see it.

Don't they have a Dow release soon? Maybe enough to save them?

Kind of a naive assessment of the situation. Annual revenue for a developer isn't exactly a stable variable. Especially not for smaller ones that don't have mutliple projects running at a time.

There's no way Relic's gonna close down while working on one of Microsoft's flagship RTS games. They've just stopped work on CoH2 to put all they're resources into Age of Empires 4.

CoH 1 was a masterpiece on it's own
Coh 2 is a shameless cash-grab full of microtransactions and "DLC" (cut-content for more shekels)
if it was still under THQ's leadership this wouldn't have happened, but alas SEGA are uber greedy and Relic has not given us what we truly desired after all these years

a Full German campaign

If you actually read the coh2 thread then youd note how he was just blatantly incorrect with his statement. Remember that both coh3 and AoE4 are in development under two different studios, microsoft and sega, similarly there are larger companies with less earnings and earning are down because of the DoW3 mess.

I don't think guessing their budget is a good indicator, but I agree that it seems like they're in serious trouble. However, they are not an independent studio -- their parent companies can siphon resources in or out as they see fit. They could keep it afloat with some support. Sadly, as has happened too many times before, parent companies usually prefer to pull all the best parts out of a failing studio then let it die. They relocate their best talent and assets to some new project that their marketing team tells them will be the next big thing.

I can only hope Sega actually knows what it's doing. They're an old entity, so perhaps they will see the error of their ways, but they have faltered quite a few times before. I don't hold out a lot of hope for Relic. I think their management dug their own grave during CoH 2 and DoW 3 development and this is just their bad decisions catching up to them. I predict it will be cannibalized after AoE 4 comes out, regardless of how successful that is. They've done too much damage to their brand reputation within their customer base.

WWII is a popular topic. I am sure there will be dozens more of WWII franchises. Hopefully the next company will put the flaws of the Tigers and Panthers in the game along with the benefits.

Well to be fair the COH2 model for commanders was outright BS in the way it is handled. the Commander concept in of itself was a decent idea but to segment it behind a pay wall is by far the most egregious thing they could've done. Forget the fact that COH2 is a bare bones equivalent of its predecessor and if you didn't pay 2 dollars for each commander you had to rely on a botched system that wasn't fixed for about 2 years.

In which you suffered through constant replicas of stuff you already had and had to spend around 10 games just to get 1 fcking crate. So ya people got impatient and got annoyed cause you either had to shelve out to get more commander options, which even to this day (at least mainly for Russian/Wehrmacht) the commanders were either complete garbage or carbon copies with a different name and "theme."
