Throw smoke on the demolition charge. They can see it if they're close enough.
Don't try to outshoot a blob up close or with singled out units. That's what these kind of players are looking for - killing off your units with extremely high dps in one spot. Just do not engage that without sufficient firepower. Best you engage it with AI vehicles so you can easily take advantage of the units being so close together. Remember your objective is to bleed the enemies manpower and wipe squads, not to allow him to do that to you.
You don't need to wipe it. You need to bleed it. If you can afford one without risk then a Katyusha is going to provide just that. At long range and with close to no effort involved on your side.
Keep in mind that a blobber has close to zero stress a-moving everything in one group. You have to counter that without overstressing yourself as you only got a limited amount of "stamina" to spare. That is easily forgotten, but a very important aspect.
Again by the time I get a katyusha the game is probobly already over becasue my apponent already controls the entire map, I am thinking that I might try planting mines everywhere to try and bleed the blob as you say
As I said, if you can afford it without risk. Otherwise keep with T70s, T34s, Maxim or just match their numbers with infantry and having better cover usage.
On the topic of cover usage - try to do some landscaping whenever possible. That means get sandbags up and use wire to block off cover objects on the enemies side. That way you can use the heavy cover bonus against the blob and buy some time to make positioning adjustments.
My T-70's just keep getting fausted into oblivion so they seem to just be a fuel sink, my new strategy that I am coming up with is lots of penals maxims and mines I'll report back once thats over and done with
T70s have more range than a Panzerfaust and can use recon mode to spot ahead of themselves before engaging. You cannot get fausted into oblivion, if you make smart use of that.
Penals and Maxims would require a T1+T2 start. A pretty risky thing to do as it delays your armor, while the blobber has no real fuel expenses. Also the more you expend the more you need to bleed the enemy to break even of course.
I like to pepper mines everywhere then bait him into them. Put demo behind house. Bait him around corner: insta blob wipe.
