nvidia geforce 940mx vs mx150?

guys i need your opinions on these graphics in the title
i'm planning to buy a new machine soon and need to know which one is better?
also will those graphic cards run the game in highest setting or medium or still low

New graphics chips such as the 10xx series by nvidia are a huge leap forward in gpu scaling for mobile devices, since they aren't cut down chips like any other mobile gpu back then was.

Here in germany you can get a 1050 notebook with an i5 for ~650€ from time to time.

Obviously everything depends on your needs, but if you want to take games into concideration I would take a look at those, you are giving up mobility sometimes tho.

If you are looking for highly mobile notebooks, check out the new AMD 2500U notebook line, which has a gpu similar to a rx550 (which is quite low desktop market wise, still hugely better than any of your listed cards you took in concideration) and can only be found in ultrabooks for high mobility usage.
mobility is not a problem for me at all
also i just found a laptop with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 (4 GB) almost the very same price!

Forgot to mention. Backlight keyboard is a must. It makes typink in low lit enviroments much easier, and specially for night sessions.

I suggest you look up your current card on Passmark and compare its score to the new card you want to buy to get a relative idea of how much faster it is. https://www.videocardbenchmark.net/high_end_gpus.html

The two cards you are considering are both very poor for gaming but the mx150 is about 30% faster than the 950mx

MX150 is the successor of 940MX and a lot better than it. For low-budget gaming, MX150[technewswith.me] is a good choice in 2018 (or one should better assemble a PC and get a far better gaming experience). 940MX cannot run most of the latest games at 1080p while MX150 can.
