saying 'GG' or 'WP' directly after winning

I think it sounds really arrogant if the winning team says GG first, please only say GG or WP if the losing side says so first. :)

I disagree completely, and those analogies don't work.

The loser should say gg first, otherwise it is disrespectful.

If the winner says it first, it is rubbing it in the face of the opponent. Imagine a Starcraft tournament where the winner outplays the opponent then types gg first lmao. In Starcraft 2 I believe if you type gg it automatically resigns you from the match so you don't have to manually quit, I don't know if they kept that. gg is like saying "I yield, good match." If the winner says it first, it changes to "You yield, good match." What? Lol "gg you lost!" It's jumping the gun

gg means you resign from the match and wish to stop playing, knowing you have lost, while saying it was a good match, then the winner will agree afterwards if they think it was a good match too and type gg as well.

That's just my 2 cents, you can be rude and disrespectful to opponents if you wish, it's all a matter of personal choice, it's an online video game. Or just rub it in their face even more and add ez afterwards lol

Why exactly?, if i said gg or gg wp when i win a match is for recognize the skill of my opponent, not for humiliate him, and i think everyone do it for that reason and not for arrogance

They are not trying to patronize you, they are just saying good game well played means they had fun in the game you can lose and still have fun believe it or not GG WP is not only for the winning team to use

I have given up having fun long ago, the only motivation is pure, unadulterated Salt against any and every strat in the game.
