Is the AVRE Churchill as good as the Churchill Crocodile?
Never used it. Read on the official COH2 forums people complained it was OP (but not the Strumtiger, that wasn't OP apparently). I've never used it because the doctrine for it looks kind of lame.

both are nerfed now
i wouldnt say either one is better since they have different roles, but they no longer are gods in their role anymore

How exactly did they nerf them? I know Croc got a nerf to it's flame thrower and they upped its pop from 18 to 20. I thought someone said they nerfed its hit points/heath but am unsure.

ETA, nevermind, just read they reduced its hitpoints from 1400 to 1080 which is pretty severe. Good greif they could have at least kept it 1200.

either way you would want AVRE for anti blob/building demolitions and it can kind of deal with tanks if you get a lucky shot

you would use the croc if you need serious area of denial against infantry/anti garrison but dont have the luxury to just wait around for AVRE to reload, it doesnt deal with buildings or structures very well but can defend itself from tanks and anti tanks fairly reliably

Know your acronyms before using them, or you end up making even less sense than you already do. "Is the AVRE as good as the Churchill Crocodile" is like asking "Does a steak contain as many carbohydrates (sic) as a loaf of bread?" No it doesn't, in fact, it has basically 0 carbs. But it contains vital proteins, filling an entirely different nutritional need.

Same here. Constant AI dps or 1 big boom every 45 secs? I'll answer it for you, lest you can't come up with an answer yourself: If the enemy appears with a big blob every now and then, AVRE. If not, Croc.

"ETA" in this context is internet lingo for "Edited To Add", I'm sorry no one previously informed you.

ETA - I'm a native english speaker, leave the language and acronymns to me. K THNX BYE.

Think of the Sturmtiger, but with better acceleration, rotation, armor, a faster automatic reload and isn't vulnerable nor static during said reload. Before DBP the Sturm was more lethal, but alas, it is an Axis unit.

80% of so-called "native speakers" don't know the difference between "than" and "then" or "their", "there" and "they're" (reference: Any Twitter feed from your average US American). Your point being?

https://www.acronymfinder.com/ETA.html

101 different meanings for "ETA", I doubt you'll find anyone who isn't a linguist to know them all.

On another note. 1080HP vs 1200HP only means you can take 8 instead of 9 hits from an already never-hitting Panther, Tiger I or ATG (main issue the Croc had was virtual immunity to At fire), and still take 6 from a Tiger II. Poor you, now you have to use your brain to micro yet another unit. How mean Mr. Smith is to impose such heavy labour upon you!

Leave balance discussions to people who know their facts. k thx bye.

I swear I never seen or heard anyone using ETA as "Edited To Add" before, everyone uses it as "Estimated Time at Arrival", but yes it also stands for that xD

Panther is actually 960 HP. Same as Pershing. 800 HP is T34-85 and E8. Panther also has 260 front armour (Pershing is at 270).

Source: Mod Builder (Attributes taken directly from the game). You can also use this https://coh2db.com/stats/ ... it's outdated but only a couple of tanks need changing. You can cross reference with the update log from the official coh2 website.

To save everyone some time reading through this opinionated mess, this is the best answer:

"If the enemy appears with a big blob every now and then, AVRE. If not, Croc."

E8 has 720 hp. Also the quote is 2 years old and the panther had 800 hp back then and the pershing stats on the link are the outdated 800 hp 300 armor.
