Which DLC's do I need for the full experience?
I do not play multiplayer.

I do not play campaigns.

I play skirmishes against the AI.

There are 10 pages of DLC and I don't know if I need any of them to be able to enjoy all the features of games where I skirmish against the AI.

Most of the DLC are just microtransaction stuff. The only ones that add something would be the DLC that add the British, OKW and American faction.

in that case you probably just want the 5 different armies and you're set

if you have the base game you already have the soviets and wehrmacht, which leaves

the british forces:

the western front armies:

once you are comfortable with beating the ai don't be afraid to try out co-op against ai

Only factions DLCs.
Everything else drops in game and faction DLCs add skirmish maps as well.

Yep, like others have mentioned - the only DLC needed for full experience in my opinion is the DLC for each faction. Adding British, US, and OKW armies to the game add an extra layers of variety towards your AI experience.

Alright, thanks all. :steamhappy:

for new commanders, you will need 15000 points. For each win you get 2000 (different, inferior) points, for each loss you get 1500 points. When you get 6000 inferior points, you get a gambling loot box.

Gambling loot box will give you either some item like a skin, intel bulletin. If not, it will give you 500 points. Considering you need 15000 (or 150 without those 2 excessive zeroes) for a commander, you wil have to have 3 wins for 1/30 of commander value. It means 90 wins per commander, but RNG and skins and bulletins wont allow you to have just 90 wins for a single commander.

If you play PVE, dont play annihilation if you want to win reasonably fast, standard is 500 VPs, but you can decrease it to 250 for about 8 minutes per win. If you want just a fast grind, make the AI go easy. If you managed less than 6 minutes win, you wont get the points.

Ive had easy 8 commander drop when it was released, but there was another system in place. I have 19 commanders missing for example, 18 +, so without any bulletins or skins, I would need 1620 wins, if you play 40 minutes each, this would translate to whole nonstop 45 days.

If you get USF (which I recommend), I'd encourage you to give the campaign a whirl. It's really good.

To be honest I couldn't give a damn about skins. I just want all options to be available to me. Also I just played a game against the AI and hot damn, this is a huge improvement over CoH 1 (which I own a physical copy of, not on STEAM).

What's the biggest map? I love big huge maps. I like the chaos. I like playing as Germany versus two medium difficulty AI's. I don't even care if I lose, I just like watching tanks roll around blowing things up.

Try spearhead mod then.
Booom!

if you want all options available to you, that is, commander/bulletins perhaps, you will be paying a lot if you dont want to grind.

Most commanders are gimmicky at best and provide little to no real options. The game starts you off with a full loadout for each faction and enough to unlock two commanders of your choosing right away. On top of that the recently added ones are all free.

All in all there is little reason for starters to go beyond that right now. There is at least one really solid commander in each factions basic loadout and the new ones are for the most part solid choices too.

that is untrue, without say a self repair IS-2 which I first bought collectors edition for, after which they moved the commander into another bundle out of collectors edition .... all factions are not having a full roster, you know that. Soviets lack a turreted TD, no longer lack any AT rifles as they did for years so it isnt as bad.

First two factions - as germans you could play without doctrine, because in general they provided additional options, with sovs, you went for the doctrine usually due to heavy armor. In 1v1 hpanther spam is avoidable, not in bigger games. (or was)

Sherman E8, or 76 arent quite gimmicky to me.
But you still have all the options as factions were remade, like usf got a mortar.(sovs no turreted TD)

much is optional ofc, depending on how much options one actually wants. And how much if any money one is willing to free him/herself of.

Factions aren't supposed to have a "full roster". There are intentional differences. Like you name the SU-85 for not having a turret, then how about every other TD not having a self spotting ability?

Anyways I don't see what qualifies you to state that what I say is not true. You barely played anything else than 4vs4 Soviets, so I doubt you have enough hands on experience with this to draw such conclusions out of thin air.

And btw getting heavy tanks against Panthers is a terrible idea. That's what Panthers are best at dealing with since those are slow targets, that are easy to outmanouver.
