For completion it can also be fired on the move, but that isn't the way you'd want to use it most of the time anyways.
8 Damage per shot and free. Plus Obersoldaten pinpoint accuracy
Good that they nerfed it to Slightly better than M1919A6.
LMG.
Lmg....
L
Oh well for me the heavy mg42 is better than the heavy mg34, because it supresses much faster. Which I want in a heavy support weapon.
The light machine gun variants is a tricky one, because the ostheer grenadiers and the OKW obersoldaten are two different units. Obersoldaten are better in killing than grenadiers, but they perform with the mg34. So if they got a mg42 it may make them better in killing, but more stationary.
But should they give the obersoldaten the mg42 upgrade either I would miss the mg34 mobility. Or I would like their increased killing power, so it's hard to say without testing.
I put LMG is quotations because the crew-served and squad versions are acutally the same weapon in real life (the Germans never had a heavy machine gun). The game just gives them different stats.
Not HEAVY and deployable.
It wasn't an additional nerf, they made it an upgrade because softened the fuel penalties to lack of caches.
