Rangers are in a better doctrine, with the Pershing and they can have hilarious results with stuff like 3 Bazookas, overall they are very good at replacing dead rifles, flanking or watching over yout ATGs.
Whats the normal number of rifles? I've seen about 3-5 normally with usf
3 is the ideal number, so you can afford their upgrades and reinforce cost all through the game, considering the LT and CAP as "specialized" riflemen then you really don't need more fighting squads, even more so if you want Rangers or Paras and you got your REs that can hold their own too.
Aye to put in in very simple terms, Paras do more damage and Rangers are more durable to small arms fire, Pershing doctrine is still stronger than Airborne but Paras > Rangers.
Both have
1. Cooked Grenade (No upgrade required)
2. x4 Thompson Upgrade
3. M1 carbines (Same Accuracy too)
Rangers (400 MP)
1. 5-Man Squad
2. Passive 10% damage reduction from all sources
3. 3 weapons slots
4. Passive 20% accuracy reduction from all weapons (Except explosives)
Paratroopers (380 MP)
1. 6-Man squad
2. Paradrop on insertion.
3. Reinforce on beacons
4. x2 M1919A6 upgrade
5. Timed Demo charge (5 second fuse, 480 damage)
6. Tactical Assault on Thompson Upgrade
7. Suppressing Fire on LMG Upgrade
Paratroopers performs better and beats Rangers 1v1 in most circumstances, But remember that Paratroopers is locked behind Airbourne Company while Heavy Cavalry Company have more useful abilities
I Felt that Rangers needs to have something more to compensate as they costs more but do perform worse than Paratroopers.
They should have Satchel charges ability for them.
But BAR is not as good as LMG on the move :(
theyre going to rock when that happens. one m1919 is already good vs the other infantry. i wonder how theyre patching the other infantry to compensate as far as balancing.
Paras not clumping and using cover better will only make them more durable, while the fixed population will make them more affordable, they will be really good in 1vs1.
