Ardennes Assault - Bastogne Outskirts
I'm playing normal difficulty on the Ardennes Assault campaign, and I've won first try on every mission besides Bastogne Outskirts. I got my mechanized infantry on it, at almost 100 strength. I build up a bunch of Rear Echelon guys to fuel and capture vehicles, and I also build up as many tank destroyers as I can or shermans. I only have 4 stars on it, too, which is medium mechanized infantry as it says which I believe to be panzers and things like that. But out of the blue, a King Tiger and a Tiger Ace come in and destroy my entire fleet of tanks. What am I supposed to do about that? Their infantry takes out my anti-tank infantry and all the tanks I can afford are light or die immediately.

Snare it and then just kill it off from rear armor.
It's just one tank with slow turret.

And it's not AI buffed op beast like KV2 in Tiger ace scenario.

Thank you, I just beat it after capturing their King Tiger for myself and I guess the AI broke and it just stopped sending units after me.

*Sumary*

Bastogne Outskirts - Hard difficult

Mission:
-Victory points(VP);
-Each enemy vehicle destroyed will loses german points.

Settings:
-3 Enemy Sector Crosses (I really dont remember each xD);
-Expect heavy armored enemy vehicles;
-Abandoned German BIG AT-Gun on mid.

Starting:
-Paratroopers Company;
-1 AT-Gun;
-1 M8 Greyhound;
-1 Rear Echelon Troops.

Extra:
-Reinforcements every 5-4 minutes (I dont know if is because mechanized company adjacent);
-Extra manpower and munition (Due Paratroopers Company);
-Paratroopers company upgraded (Extra paratroopers, .50 caliber machine gun, Supply with AT-gun);

*General Strategy*

-Unlock the rack weapons, specially bazookas;
-Begin the mission splitting your units to cap max points possible and take someone to RUSH MID (This is very important) and cap both point and AT-Gun;
-Use the enginners to build blockades like Tank Traps and Barbed wire around the mid, dont need to be every road, but in the areas that you lack defense (ex: if you have 2 ATs, you dont need aim where have a blockades);
-In the mid, is important to have free ways to the 4 corners of the map like north, south, west and east (I like to use the trails between the tress);
-Use at least 1 unit anti-infantry in the mid and the rest anti-tank troops (thats depends the settings of the mission, but in general, german uses tanks);
-Have at least 1 ambulance in the mid.

*Tatical*

The main ideia in this map is to use you mid VP as a Forward Operation Base (FoB), so is very important to maintain. You will use to replenish your troops instead reatreat. The florest will be nice to pick-off germans tanks and infantry. The most of your "offensive operations" will use infantry.
Afterwards, the enemy will cap your VPs in the north and/or south, but thats ok because if you cap at very beginning you have advantage. When the "Tide of battle" turn to your favor, go to south and cap the VP. It doesn't matter if you cap north VP because you will have 2/3 of VP and the south VP is easy to defend due the florest. Use your troops to cap, in my case i use the anti-infantry troops due the presence of enemy troops. Note that south VP is a hill with trees, so both anti-infantry and vehicles troops can shoot who is outside. You can secure the road if you have a AT remaining.
Every ammo counts, so dont wast them. Save for weapons! If you dont have paratroopers, do riflemans with bazookas and a lieutenant (this is your offensive anti-infantry unit). Is very important to not lose units, specially infantry because you will lose their weapons. Cap enemy weapons if possible, but beware to not reach the population cap.
In my case, do not engage enemy vehicles (Except scouts) with those M8 greyhounds and M20 utility car. Use them to cap points far from danger, use the "hit and run" tatical and support infantry when necessary. Every other vehicle can engage, but in general dont rush without infantry, who is your best friend. Dont be mindless! Speaking in best friend, half-tracks transports are the best. They will replanish your troops, support, can carry them and depending of the settings of your troops, they will be anti-infantry, anti-vehicle or both, what makes them good to defend far points. Take care of them.
You notice this map is a florest, so infantry in this game will be your main force. You be free to choose your strategy, but for me works with infantry. But this mission is like a "Open season to hunt Steel Monsters" xD.

*Hints*

-Pause button: If you dont want or dont know to do 9.645.687 APMs like a Pro (Actions per Minute), the keyboard have a "Pause/Break" button. So you can use in the game to do micromanage and evaluate the situation on the map;
-If you dont know what kind of enemy you will expect in the mission, buy weapons latter;
-The "transfer orders" can be use to generate more squads. Ex: Cap a weapon and do the order to a Weapons Team, you will have 2 squads, refill, and cap again. You will have 2 squads and 1 team weapon. CAUTION: If the all crew is refill after loses, the squad will be that role, so you will wont retrieve the original squads like rifles, paratroopers, etc... worst, they will wont be transfer after leave the weapon for some reason. The only way to "Transfer" them to lower the limit cap is to do "suicidal engagements";
-Is not clean, but if you see the mission will fail and want save your company strength, Alt+F4 or ALT+Ctrl+Del and end the game =) ;
-I not be certain, but companies next to each other can benefit the mission.
